That there be a kick arse computer they gave you! I wanted one, but it was out of my price range, so I bought the regular 13" macbook. It was my first mac, and I'd have to say, apple knows how to build a computer. Much nicer than the dell I had before it.

Yeah, they are amazingly expensive. Gos great with my iPhone though. Smile

Price to performance you get way more bang for your buck with a PC laptop. I can match this things specs with about a $1500 budget. So to get a "mac" you'll spend about an extra grand over a PC.

I could happily run a linux variant as my main OS on a PC laptop and run a few add-ons to simulate the Aqua interface. Most linux distros now will read both HFS, HFS+, FAT/Fat32.

As far as the pro goes, I agree. They are stupid overpriced. Although I do hear that with will be releasing a new one in the upcoming weeks that's supposed to be bad ass. I spec'd mine against the new xps 1330's. Mine only came out like $50 more.
