Hey there

Hows everyone doing?

Alright, so In July, this coming July, a bunch of r/c'ers are getting together to put on a big bash session.

The event is going to be held on July 26th of 2008. If the date changes i will keep everyone posted.

Where?
well we havent really set anyhting in stone, but more then likely its going to be here-
63461 - Google Search
entry fee will range from $15-$25
The more people the less you have to pay.

The place in Missouri we are trying to go to,(what i have linked above) is a guys property, who is planning on building us a custom track to our specs.
if that falls through and we are not able to go there, then we are going to try to rent a track or get permission to bash on a rather large piece of land.

If you are infact interested for sure, please let me know.
you can either do so by replying here, you can also send me a pm
or you can Also send me an e-mail at [email protected]

Right now there is about 16-18 people going.
a nice crowd so far.

It will be fun, believe it.
There are hotels and food near by, im not planning on staying the night, but will if i have to.

well, there ya go, let me know if your interested.

Sean
pretty sure if you're going around a track, you're not really bashing.
ponch would know that since he tried to be a basher on a race track when he first started out lol.

Yeah, with an entry fee and a purpose built track its not much of a "bash" in the normal sense. More of a recreational race weekend for the average joe to play around on a track. Much like me on an Open practice night at LHR, I'm just there to turn laps, not much else.

Bash session to me is a bunch of people getting together, in a open area and just running wild with RC's. Jumps, drag races, but no set in stone track. Kinda like we do at Busse Woods every sunday in the spring/summer/fall.

I'm hesitant to move the thread, its not hurting anything where it is now, but its not really in its correct forum either.
k then dont come

Great!!
thanks for sharing your stories and experiences

see ya
z400,

Don't take the comments to heart...lots of "poking fun" goes on around ChiTownRC.

Anyway, thanks for posting the event.

There used to be few guys from here that traveled to StLouis area for Camp Maxx events a couple times each year, with the ShowMeRC group. Do you know any of those Missouri rc'ers?

Dave

ps: I think we have at least one member here from the Quincy area....Pwnzer, I believe....

I'm sorry if I came across as personally saying what you want to is a bad idea, or that people shouldn't go. What I was really saying is that its probably not in the right forum, but it doesn't hurt anything where it is, so I didn't see a need to move it. I do wish you luck with it though, I hope it does happen for you. Camp Maxx always looked fun though I never got around to going, and this seems along those lines.
alright thanks

the place it may be at is just a big open area, with crap.
but there will also be a track made for us at our specs.

I'm more of a jumper. Gimme a big straight, and an even bigger ramp and I'm good.

The best ramp I've had the pleasure of was a 8ft long by 10ft high motox freestyle ramp when we were performing at MonsterJam. That was a blast. Easily got the height of a 2 story house. Sadly the ramp was about 2ft wide so you had to be REALLY accurate to hit it.Big Grin

If there is one of those I could definitely be persuaded to come out. BMX tracks are one of my favorite places to bash.
most of our ramps will more then likely be wide, tall and made out of dirt.. lol
I already posted in the racers thread but what the heck....

It's not a bashers heaven, but a fun "recreational race weekend" mild bashing going on in between and after the races till you puke or just get to tired.
