Well I think I was sitting next to Nexus but I diden't know what he looked like and the way I was driving he may not have wanted to admit he knew me Big Grin

Things got much better when a guy gave me a set of foams, they made a big difference.

It was much easier with the electric since it was slower but all in all I did much better than I did at Joliet (Nexus is probably wondering how bad I was there) Big Grin

Nice track, great people! Only thing I did not like is no one marshalls during practice so I had to hustle my ass off whenever I was nose in a corner (which was alot).

We actually bought a canopy but the damn thing was ripped, and it was pretty warm out there

My youngest son talked to everyone there lol

I think this was where Nexus was since he said something about an American Flag

It's a nice track, they put sugar water down to make it sticky

I'll be back in two weeks! I'm going to try to get some practice in a parking lot.
yea....i thought that was your but i was busy setting up. and at some point you left for the day.

i was the one who lent your kids the blue folding chair.

--------

sorry i didn't get a chance to talk.....a few things i noticed.

you started running your nitro with rubber tires....i would not even waste your time trying to dial a car in with those. when you put the foams on the car was better. overall you have waaay to much steering. .that is some of what is causing your car to be hard to drive and spin out. i wish you stayed we i got a chance to look at your nitro and electric car.

next time i'll try and catch up with you.....this is what i look like if you see me.

as for practice...yea no one really is required to mashal and some guys will grab your car if they see it stuck. but most or trying to get ready and setup their cars and really don't watch others practice.

i had a terrible day and didn't finish a qualifier or the mains. the next sunday tinley is open it's a trophy race/points series day. so i hope to get my cars better to maintiain my points lead. i

if you or anyone show up again and need anything let me know. with a few small changes i'm sure i could get it so both your cars are easier for you to drive.
I'm sorry I couldn't get free to come by therre today. Maybe next time..
It looks like you were in the East lot today? Do they use both sides?
I'm going to try to have a new set of foams before the next race day.
So I take it you didn't buy any from the sellers there that Nexus wrote about. Were they there?
I don't believe they were there. A guy named John gave me a set of foams and mentioned them but at the time he did not indicate they were there yet.

The foams made all the difference in the world!

I looking at getting these for the front and these for the rear.
They always use the East lot now....it is newly paved and better then the West lot.

Those foams should work fine but Jaco always seems to be on the pricey side. The guys who sell parts and foams at the track don't really setup a big table or onside type store. You just need to find out who they are and ask them. Most of the parts are kept in his car then he just takes them out as needed.

When you are at the track just ask for Albert or Tony G. They are the ones that have the tires.
The Jaco's are kind of pricey but are they worth the price?

Actually a guy in Honk Kong is selling them for like $8/pair. You don't get them as fast but that's ok.
And I found GQ's 10 pair for $105, but now I can't find the link..I'll keep looking.

Honk Kong, is that anywhere near Beepjing? jk
lol - only thing bad about the Hong Kong guy is its likely to take awhile.
Found that link you were looking for http://www.twistertires.com/
Yep it was Twisters not GQ's. Found that too. If $10/pr helps get it right quicker, it's worth the money vs. driving yourself insane switching things, especially if someone who know swhat wins (Nexus) says it the right tire for the track.
Only thing I diden't like is they have a PO Box and no one answered the phone number.
Twisters? or GQ's?
