Read the book, loved the movie. Even if you've never read the book, its a very good movie, and I didn't feel cheated at all about spending the $13.50 on an IMAX ticket.
I can't wait for Cloverfield debut now. Have to wait till January 08 though.

A movie is more than its ending. If you wanted to see it before, go see it anyways. Then decide if you wasted your money.
