Saturn is just like all the other companies with all the plastic. My buddy just got an 07 vue and it's really nice. Rides great, looks great, interior is nice.
Lol I read Ford is BRINGIN THE TAURUS BACK, WOO HOOO </sarcasm>
Saturn has even stopped with plastic doors on many of the models.

I drove a Vue from Philly to Chicago recently and I didn't care for it, but to be fair, it was a model year older than the current one. In stock tires it was horrible in the rain above 45mph on the Turnpike. Almost hydroplaned into a semi at 55mph. The stock tires were nasty.

They are just changing the name plate on the ford 500 back to the taurus because they lost alot of brand loyalty due to the dropping of the taurus badge.

The taurus/500 is actually a VERY nice car. Very defined, quiet and smooth. The awd version scored higher than the new audi and is 20k cheaper.

Ford ftw!!!!
Heck get an H3!!!
just get a toyota and keep it for 300K miles

Actually looked at the Sable version. $32,000 gets you LOTS of car from that model. Prolly the biggest car I test drove.

Spoken like a true sheeple!!! American quality is on par with any similarly priced Japanse auto.
GM, FORD, MOPAR all are great manufacters
then why dont u see people getting tons of miles on the odo on american cars
Sigh..... Your right mike, your always right.
no roc u are always right
Keep in mind, Honda assembles cars here, so does Toyota, Mitsu, etc...Americans can build good cars. Its domestic design and engineering that needs to catch up for the 300k levels of mileage.
Charger over 300.

Have you considered and older magnum? 4dr wagon with AWD the RT powertrain. Smile

If you want 4dr performance an older STi or Evo, though insurance is a killer on them.

___________
On american cars, 91' Escort wagon, 180k before I sold it. 93' Escort, 160 still going strong. With as many miles as I don't drive a year it would take a LONG time for me to hit over 200k. If I'm hard on a car I'll put about 6,000 miles a year max. So it would take me a little over 30 years to hit 200k at with as much as I drive.

All of the cars I've owned have had at least 95k on the odo when I bought them.
I considered the Magnum...lots of room for RC's back there! But it looks like I'm heading toward the Saturn Outlook.
copy and paste that dave!
I've seen and ridden in one of those. Pretty nice, but I'd go straight Explorer if I went that route. The Outlook is a little more "carlike" where the Explorer is a truck based SUV. I do like the Explorer and have rented them for vacations. V6 with low gas mileage unfortunately, but tons of room!

Just remember that if you ever need to tow a U-haul trailer you can't do it with a Ford Explorer. Thanks to the firestone xploder tires no Uhaul will allow an Explorer to tow one of their trailers.

If you want to see why take a look at any of the Explorers from that year, they all sit lower on the left than the right because the transfer case as well as the gas tank is on the left. Meaning higher loads on the left tires. If improperly filled........POP...goes the tire. But because of that Fiasco U-haul will not rent a trailer to anyone using a Ford Explorer to tow.
Uhhh Maybe in like 2000 when that happened.... But since then ford hasnt put a firestone tire on anything they have made in years!

Dave i have a 2007 sport trac , smooooth ride quiet and plenty of power. With the new chassis they are 400% stiffer than the previous models.

Yeah, but what I was pointing out is that Uhaul still has banned all models of the Explorer even till this day. A few friends and I helped someone move out to Colorado and one of the disqualifications Uhaul had was using an Explorer to tow the vehicle.

I know the newer ones have been fixed but Uhaul continues to ban the use to this day.
ya that would keep me from buying a car, god forbid i cant rent a uhaul i would rather just lay down and die!
Above post pretty much states what i was thinking.... I guess ya just have to to budget or penske to rent a trailer
