Who would join back in racing MT if others did this winter?
why even start this thread
well i will if others show up
I admit,I miss runnin a revo. As much as I would love to get back into it. I wont have the money for sometime to do it.
Racing Mt is too expensive. I mean think about it, buy a good truggy set-up for about $1500 or so. On the other hand you could buy a Revo and make it fast and raceable for around $2000 or so. Not exact prices but fairly close. It's cheaper to buy a truggy or buggy and race it then a Mt that's the only reason I wouldn't race one.
^Dare ya to itemize that Revo list...Dare ya. Bet it isn't nearr the $2g's mark.
be nice ponch u were dumb too once Wink lol
I still got mine on the shelf...if I can get some money together I may get it running for the indoor season...That is if there is a decent turnout. Last time I raced, There was about a heat, or about..10 trucks, usually there were only like 4 running by the end of the race thought. Lots of young kids. I think its just fun, Im not going to evere take home any big races, but MT is fun and laid back for me at least.
It was around $1700 but that is with Radio, the truck, all hop-ups I would put on it, engine, starter box, etc... But yes you could race a stock Revo with only a change of tires. That's the list BTW but I'm not a Revo racing expert so there could be some unnecessary stuff o and I forgot tires too.

well mine is a "race" revo and it only cost me like 3 hundo.

125 for the revo roller(already set up for racing)
180 motor (os .21 vg)
50 pipe(JP-2)
plus your little extras
I started with a 2.5 REVO, added JR 650's (little slow...but works alright) Foward Only, Center Diff, Rear Brakes, Wing, Bowties I bought used. the most expensive stuff I bought for it was a 3.3, Starter Box, and Pipe, which was 80. I'd say I got about 1100 tied up. and its not even really that fast, its still pretty heavy. (Set back arms) I think it would rip more if I could iron on my engine problems....

But I think its about equal to getting a buggy Truggy setup. If you look at it like that.

But again, who's going to buy new? Plus, some of that stuff is unneeded aka starter box, M11, lunsford pushrod set? Man now that I read it, you TRIED to prove me wrong by getting the most expensive stuff.
I dont see a point in spending alot of money on consumable steering/suspension parts. Except Shocks, those are pretty important.
Yeah.

That doesn't equal $700.....

And I would possibly pick up a MT to race since I am debating now. No definite yes or no though.
Exactaly....It's cuz I'm a genius like that. Rolleyes

I kinda want to get the fun back in rc for me, maybe that's bashing. I just don't know anymore.

It is! If only I could fine one of my glow ignitors that work!
wow you guys are crazy. No need for rpm arms, rd logic springs, I wouldnt buy a new revo. Price can be cut in half by buying all the parts off ebay individually. I can build a top 3 a main revo for a grand Wink
i can buy an RTR truggy a smoke an thousand dollar revo Smile

Haha. Yeah might help.

2 words-

Power-panel.

Oh and 9 more words

Buy my starter box it has a power panel Big Grin
Before or after you blow your motor Mike lol?I ts called put your money were your mouth is mike Wink. Lets get some bone stock trucks, only changes that can be made our oils, and tires. No swapping out parts for strength or weight savings. 1 practice tank then race Big Grin.
alright well then its already been done, ttr truggy i ran last year was rtr
ponch i know what you mean. try running on a practice nite with some friends. last winter three or four of us would run together as hard as we could, and it sometimes turned into tag, but its so damn fun. it was pretty much a bash moving in the same direction.
That is basically where I am trying to get to. If it gets too serious you lose the fun, and it is definitely more stressful. That is another reason I kind of want to get a MT to bash and race and not a truggy since the class is so competitive and people get pissed if your truck accidentally gets in their way. SMT always seemed more laid back, even when there were a lot of fast guys racing it.

How competitive is a stock LST-2 and what is being done to them by the people who race them?? (Since it is an option..... though I still really like the idea of another revo.)
