Norm, now that I look at it some pin stipes around the stars would have made it look even better.(on the buggy)
the truck wasnt lookin too bad till someone thru up on the back of it.lol
yeah not digging the green
i think the green marble is bad ass
if it flowed more it would look good. I like the look of it it just dont fit the scheme IMO but im not a pro painter so dont mind me, now if the whole body was the marblen or flames or something it would look better IMO
Wow, TUFF crowd, lol. Im trying guys, I was just trying something new to see how it would look, I cant say I am too crazy about the green either, maybe in another setting it would have looked better, but I dont think it looks bad. But I'll keep plugging away. And yeah Mike, after I finished the Buggy I thought it would have looked better with trim around the stars. But you know that was just a teaching bench for the forum on rc411
Got a few more I did over the weekend.

Yea, I 2nd that (as the M&M's gave you some nice idea's, and then you change it up on us. lol
nice i like the buggy and the rr looks bad ass
Im always trying something new, but sometimes it doesnt come out the way you wanted. And no those are not the sticky stars from wally world.

I used a ice blue from Createx for the stars, it has a sparkle to it and it looks much better in person then in the pictures. But this is what it looked like before I painted it.

and the lines arent all crooked, its just the bastardization of the pics by the resizing Wink
Yup, No matter what i do to resize the pics, somehow the re entry of them is changed. I have a great 8.0 Powershot camera.

do you draw on the outside on the film or on the inside? When you draw (since I suck) should I start with pencil or what? I'd appreciate any tips. I'm not gonna try and do anything crazy just a basic 2 color with some aarow type lines. if that makes sence lol

btw that is sick dude!
I draw on th outside on the film, but you can draw on the body too, you just cant press too hard or you will scratch the lexan. And when your done with the body a little testors paint thinner will remove the ink. But never use the thinner on the film and on just plain lexan, you should be as brief with the thinner as possible because you dont want to leave a haze on the lexan. I set this up on RC411 and it should help anyone wanting to learn to paint. It's my step by step to painting.
Xtreme RC Cars - Project Airbrushing RC
I pity you cutting out that second one!!!

Great design, but you need a vinyl cutter.

I'm painting the baja some tonight. Smile
