hey im wondering what would be a better pipe to run with a os vspec on a kyosho buggy set up for on road i have a jp2 and a jp3 what pipe should i go with im running odonnell 30%
Well...You want the jp2 probably, the vspec has more than enough low end so that will tame it down a bit while giving it great top.

The jp3 will take away some top end but will also get a bit more low end.
ok cool thats what i have on it now wasnt sure if i should put the jp3 on there i was looking for more top end
Nope, jp2 should give more top end that jp3. Smile

+1

I have a 2039 for sale if interested LMK Wink
i knowmopst of the team either runs a os t2050 or a t 2060. i have been told the 2060 makes more power but the 2050 is smoother and gets better economy
but all the cool ae guys run the TTR pipe Smile

Cools AE guys? Isn't that like military intelligence? LOL JK Mike!

I like my TTR pipe as well it gives great top end and as a bonus it's MUCH quiter than my JP3.
who makes these pipes you guys are talking about i cant find anything on the web
its the TTR long pipe

[TTR9796-1] Thunder Tiger 3-Chamber EFRA 2035 Tuned Pipe (Long) w/Manifold

you cant beat that price for a great pipe. The pipe is super durable, but the header is soft, ive had both of mine for 2 yrs plus now and still no dents
most of the os guys run the 2050 pipe which they stopped making. had to change it to meet fim rules? they should be available soon this time the presure nipple willbe welded on.may be chris knows when. but i dont think they willbe hard coated like the jammin or dynamite. mike is the ttr pipe available hard coated? ive tried the 2050,2060,jp 1,2,3 pipes and the worst was the jp 1, and ponch hit it right the stock vspec has so much low end that the jp3 was explosive off the bottom and spun the tires. the jp2 is cheap, easy to clean, the bottom is easy to drive and holy chit does it scream on top! oh and they now have a jp 4 pipe, which is like the jp3 but more top end rev...
no they arent coated, just good material they do need a bath in anti freeze after awhile to get all the burnt on mess off tho
the ninja tit. pipe's got a rough finish on it and i couldnt even clean=sold
ttr long pipe is good on everything, and cheap as hell.
JP4, hmmmm, interesting.
New Jammin JP-4, 3-Chamber Pipes ready for 2008 Worlds
The Jammin JP-4 tuned pipe is designed specifically for 1/8 off-road racing and it’s designed to improve mid-range to top-end speed without sacrificing bottom-end punch. Like the rest of the JP pipes, the JP-4 features a smash-proof billet stinger and reliable spring coupler design. The JP-4 is IFMAR legal, which means that you can race it at sanctioned events, and it’ available in two different coatings; hard-anodized or nickel plated chrome. According to OFNA, the nickel plated finish is practically impervious to stains. Both versions include 2 coupler grommets, springs, setscrew and a spring-loaded pipe hanger.

Jammin JP-4 Tuned pipes – OFNA no. 10128 (hard-anodized), 10129 (nickel plated); $109.99

hmm, i would like to try one of those
Just remember Chad, you can't touch it 'cuz it's hot.

Really, comon. Do we need a warning label? haha
been out for like 2 months now....
Isn't it supposed to be quieter as well?
about damn time, they moved the pressure nipple so now it dont rub thru
the bod
I had a JP1 and it was a straight pooch, I put the TTR 2035 long pipe on, It felt like I leaned the engine for its death, HUGE POWER INCREASE, its controllable however, and it gives decent runtime, If you install this pipe, you better hang on buddy, your engine will run like a bat out of hell.
yep the jp1 seemed to have too much backpressure the performance was not so good and the temp was higher. went to the os pipes and it was better but as soon as the jp3 went on holy chit it was hard to not spin the tires. jp2 me likey alot smooth down low and tons of rev. wouldnt mind trying the jp4. and i dont care how good a pipe is if its not hard coated for easy cleaning i dont want it. i have an alum. truck i aint doin no extra polishin! lol
all u have to do is let it sit in a crock pot full of anit freeze over night and the gunk will just fall off; who cares how it looks anyway
