The Chitown Forums have grown steadily for a while now. I'm wondering how many people here own and either bash or race with electric on road cars.

Please raise your hand if you bash or race any of these electric vehicles:

1/10th scale on road
1/12th scale on road
Recoil
1/18th scale on road
1/18th scale off road

This coming Fall and Winter there will be a few places old and new to race and I'd like to keep in touch with anyone possibly interested.

Thanks!

....and there's only 8 people here racing on-road?
Pretty much.
there really isnt that much of an attraction for it on here i guess. Even at LH there arent that many onroad guys; I think its cool just really no where else to race it outdoor other than LH
Kenji, any where they're running the 1/16 scale eletrics?? Just picked up a 1/2 8 and would like to race it indoors if I can.

We need to change that around Chicagoland.

If people like the competition aspect of racing, and not focus on the type of vehicles, there's a lot a venues.

Personally I like racing, no matter if it's an 1/8th scale buggy or a Robitronic's Scalpel.

It gives me the same charge either way.
i agree its fun, but alot of guys will not get into a class they cannont go race competetively

I'm not following what you are saying. Tell me the specific vehicle name/manufacturer and I'll tell you if any place is racing them.

Who has a 1/16th? I think Trinity is due out with an electric off road one......

Is half-8 a nitro term?
half 8's come in both nitro qnd eletric. I have a half 8 in eletric and it's concidered 1/16 scale
10th on-road
Ok, The shop/track in Whinthrop Horbor will run the 16th scale stuff with the 18th scale stuff on fridaynights. Gonna make it there real soon.

Last checked as of 4:11 am Thursday morning and On-Road practice for Saturday the 29th has been taken off the schedule. What gives?

Just got my PM from Bernie and it's all taken care of. Sorry for the confusion.

Who out there knows why?

Probably weather. Outdoor is coming to an end for the year quickly.
Working on an Associated TC5, almost done, just a few tweaks, body is in the painting booth, doing a racer X theme for that one. This thing is going to be wicked.
Join us this Sunday in the parking lot at Strictly RC in Norridge. Track opens at noon, racing starts at 2pm. Stock motor/rubber tire is the most popular, but you can race what you brung......
