I am not sure how many here plan to go to the finals in Texas. But of those who think they will go or know they will go. I am wondering what your game plan is for travel?

I as of right now am planning on driving to this event. I have heard a couple people plan to fly. But flying with RC stuff can be a pain. So after being asked already by one person. Is there anyone that would like for me to haul their gear down there for this race? Or is someone else already doing that? I plan to check rates for shipping so I dont overcharge. I look at it this way. You ship with fed ex or someone else. You run the risk of getting your stuff late, broken, opened,or not even getting it at all. I plan to drive to this event in one day. So its safe to say your gear will get there on time and in one piece.

I guess I can also play the taxi while down there. I can fit 5 people just fine in the truck if we are just going from the hotel to the track or out for food.

A co-pilot would be kind of nice too. Half/half driving or just someone to bullshit while driving down there.

So I guess for those who plan to make this race. Post here what you plan to do.
Hmm..Copilot...Haha. I could do that. Texas is nice.
im out
in....ut today too huh big guy?
wow chad im a little rusty on reading your posts when your smokin
lol...fingers get a little sssslllllloooowwwww.... lololol
had a hard time reading your pm
I saw this on the RC Pro series site and was wondering what he is talking about. Seeing I didnt go last year,I have no clue.

Indy RC World will be setup onsite for your parts needs.......... unlike the shop at last years finals, they will not be jacking up their prices! They are planning to stock a wide range of brands.
there was a throbbyclown at rockford finals that like doubled their prices to rape the racers and then they didnt pay rcpro for the booth space, nice HUH oh yea boycott hobbytown rockford, what A HOLES
dont worry the dude did get his ass beat by those two ghetto cen drivers lmao
LMAO, the aurora hobby town sucks, never have shit, dipshits that work there normally dont know where parts are. last time i was there I had to point to the guy where the part was
I remember hearing about the CEN drivers getting kicked from the team. I forget the story but I do remember thinking it was somewhat funny.
I may be in TX when the finals go down and I'll drive to them to watch...

BTW, where are the finals being held? JCG in Dallas?
Alvarado..just south of Ft. Worth
is the track name "Alvarado" or is that the town? Does anyone know the tracks website?
it is at a rodeo joint in alvarado tex, it is just a temp. track like rockford was.
oh, ok...got it...

thanks dude. Smile
road apples in the track
Ok,so the results are in and so I am sure a few of you know if your going to Texas or not for finals. Others might be waiting to see if they can go.

But for those who are planning on going. I am willing to transport your things to the event and back for a small fee ofcourse. I plan to make this drive in one day. And all items that are stored in the bed of my truck will be protected against any weather that I might drive through.

Prices:
$75-1 hauler bag(or box of same size),1 car.
$100-2 Hauler bags(or boxes),2 cars.

Any other items like tents, chairs, tables, and so on will have a added fee but it will not be higher then $50. Final price will be figured out when you contact me with your list of items.

I ask that those who plan take me up on this offer try to keep the amount of items to as few as possible as space could become limited. If a trailer is needed,I will get one.

Pickup will be decided at the time of making the deal. But as of right now. I am thinking a meeting at LHR on friday or saturday before everyone starts to leave. And items can be either dropped off at your hotel(if close to mine) or at the track. Returning of the items will happen the same way with drop off being LHR.

Any questions or comments.. MtDrew24 on Yahoo and AIM is where you can IM me. Or PM me here on the site.
man what a jew! cant do it out of the kindness of ur heart or what? jk LMAO
Hey,got to pay for fuel some how!! LMAO...and I am still cheaper then the major shippers.. But atleast you know it will get there in the same shape you left it with me to start with Big Grin

But hey,if this makes it easier on some,or cheaper on some to make this trip when they didnt plan to go in the first place because of the price. Then thats cool.

Your joking, but I think it is kind of shisty to charge people to take their gear. I am sure the person would have thrown you money either way.
Shisty?? So I am going to pack my truck(and trailer if needed) full of other peoples things for free so they can fly in comfort and just worry about their clothes being there when they land?

They would of paid atleast twice,if not 3 times more to ship with UPS or Fed Ex round trip. So yeah,$100 is a drop in the bucket and a steal.

Hell,I am even thinking about being a taxi of some sort once down there. If they are staying in the same hotel as me,or close to it. Roll to the track and back so they can save a few $$ and not get a rental car.

Anywhere else like dinner or a club...they will be buyin Big Grin LOL
I would not ask for anything if I was already driving down there and had extra room.

If I asked for money if I give friends a ride, I don't now how long they would be my friends and I wouldn't feel right asking for money.

Pretty shady if you ask me.
I see it as fine...Doing a service that costs money for money...If I were going I'd do the same.
