I have to say, I wasn't expecting great things, an action movie sure, but I hoped, and prayed that it wouldn't focus on the 2 main human characters. Well, I got my wish! Sure, its full of semi-corny lines but even as corny/comic book sounding as they lines are its FUN.

Well worth the $9.50 ticket!

Been thinking about seeing it, you're the second good review I've seen from a Transformers fan!

Sad...Well I guess its not too bad, you can get a New Grand Prix with a v8? i don't even know if they make them anymore...don't keep track of that stuff. but I will say Grand Prix's are one of my favorite cars..

GTO looks about the same with a bigger motor! Lol :p:

FWD V8? Forget it. For about 10k less you can pickup a 04/05 GTO, MUCH better choice if you want a performance coupe. I admit that the FWD torque management systems on the GM cars is amazing, but if I'm gonna have a V8, its gotta be RWD.

BTW, a Solstice GXP is a sweet looking car, especially Jazz in the new movie (he's a hopped up Solstice)

I take it the F22 is Starscream?

I saw it yesterday. I liked it alot! They could have done without the cheesy lines, but I'll take the bad with the good. The first 15 minutes or so when the base is getting attacked was awesome, as was the seen where they're fighting the sand robot and they order the air strike!

Personally I think the Saturn looks a hell of a lot better even though they may be on the same platform. Pontiac styling has gone down hill over the last 5 years. The G\6 is the most boring looking car I have seen for the longest time and don't get me started on the GTO. What a waste of sheetmetal on a great chassis/engine combination. The damn Montana is sportier looking than both of those cars and its a minivan! Hell, even the now defunct Oldsmobile had better styling than todays Pontiac before the end.

Some of us prefer a little conservitism in car design if you're likely to cause trouble

In that case I think the Skye does look better than the Solstice.

Just saw it today. Thought it was a pretty bad ass flick. I agree with Tune, some of the story line was a little chezzy. But a good flick. Brought back some childhood memories !!!

If you want conservatism, buy a Buick.

Pontiac isn't supposed to be conservative. They are GM's sport line. They are supposed to appeal more to the younger masses as opposed to Buick appealing to the old folks. But lately that has not been the case. I am just saying their styling has gone from edgy to Ho Hum all while the competition...like Ford is coming up with great designs like the Mustang, Five Hundred and the Edge. Hell the Focus looks better than the G5 too. And I hate Ford.

GM in general is losing market share and I blame a lot of this on styling. Toyota has done wonders with the new Camry and the Scions...you see those damn things everywhere...take note... I also hate Toyota with a passion. I have always been a GM guy.

I have to give credit where its due and GM just isn't getting it anymore. The only thing they have done right recently is the Tahoe and the Escalade. But the GMC looks like a$$ even tho its the same truck. Their biggest flop tho has to be the Chevy Impala. What the hell were they thinking? They ruined a nicely styled sport sedan and turned it into a Buick. And remember guys we are talking styling here...not drivetrain or performance. The Impala SS is an awesome ride if you overlook the extremely bland styling.

Ok I just checked the Pontiac website. It seems Pontiac is realizing where they went wrong. Go to http://www.pontiac.com and check out the 2008 G8. That thing looks badass! Thats what they need to keep doing. I think this will give Dodge's Charger a run for its money. 4-door rear wheel drive with a 362 HP V-8. Thats what I'm talking about!!!!! ***insert Tim Allen grunt here***

It also seems the G6 is getting a face lift for '08 as well. check out the GXP series photos for it. I must say its a big improvement.

I think the Solstice and Sky look good. What blows my mind is that the GXP/Redline are coming in at 3,050lbs or so! Thats insanely heavy. Lets consider this. The curb weight on my GTA with EVERYTHING including a cast iron v8 and all the creature comforts, steering wheel controls, t-tops, and including 10, yes TEN way adjustable seats comes in at 3390lbs.

There is no reason a 2 seat roadster should be over 2800lbs. It should be down near 2,000lbs! I think I'd rather have a fiero and drop a GTP engine into it.

In any case, I'm going to see the movie again tonight. Hopefully better seats to enjoy the movie and not crane my neck.

I HEARD that the movie is cool if your like 12 or under but there's no plot and the storyline sucks. Also they cheated on the effects, meaning when stuff changed they would zoom way in for the 2 seconds it took to change.....

What can I say though, that's total hearsay and I still play with toy cars.....I'm 30...hahaha

just saw it today. It was pretty good.

If you liked the toon and comics growing up and you are a TF fan, you will enjoy the movie.

I've seen it twice, and will be going a 3rd time with a few more people.
