I need some honest opinions here. I had xm for 3 years in my truck and loved it. The new car I bought offers sirius as the factory installed option. I took the car without it, but should be too hard to get the oem kit and install it if I so choose to. I also found an aftermarket xm tuner that plugs into back of the factory radio too. So I have a choice to use either.
For those who have used both in the past, which one do you prefer? On XM my 2 most listened to channels are squizz and the 90's. Sometimes I'll venture off to the comedy channels too.
Based on channel descriptions, they both offer the same crap. Who do you feel has the better playlists and selection of songs?
I dont know much about XM. But I do have Sirius and I enjoy it. The squizz is just like octaine on sirius. But along with all the sports like the NBA,MLB and Nascar. I'll stay with my Sirius for a long time LOL.

So i called Sirius to cancel (I really didnt want to but my Element comes with XM on the radio installed, but im no fan of XM) anyway they asked me why and i said, "Although i like the service, what i dont like is all the static i get because chicago has tons of stations. So i end up having to change to diferent stations to regain the signal. Its a pain in the azz." he tells me he will give me a new sirius receiver (stratus model), an FM modulator to connect straight to the radio antenna( no more static) and a free installation at a local radio shop that is a Sirius dealer. I just paid the $7 shipping fee, plus i got 2 free months of sirius. Sweet!

Joe what you need to do is find out if your radio has a aux input port on the front or back of it. Then just plug the sirius unit directly into the radio. That eliminates the need to use an fm station to play your music. Or if your just stuck with the fm module that will make a huge difference also. I got that in my truck after a month of just the fm station and it was a 100% difference in quality. Also on sirius's website they have a station scanner for your zipcode and they give you the cleanest stations with the least traffic if any. That helped me a bunch as well. Them guys at sirius know how to treat a customer thats for sure. Sirius FTW

Seeing I drive all over chicago land(from I-55 to Wisconsin,from the lake to I-355). There are days when I need to change the station every minute because something bleeds over. But then there are days where I can leave it on the same one all day long and not have a problem.
I do agree with joe,Chicago can be a pain from day to day. I was on the northwest side and worked south to downtown then over to western today and only had to change twice. Having something to help it stay clear 24/7-365 is nice. Glad to hear they were so willing to help you out joe.
Yeah man, I read about that happening to another guy on some Element forum, so i figured WTF and tried it. It worked out great. They do not want to lose customers and do what it takes to keep you.
After reading that some guys were getting XM for $77 a year, i tried that about 4 times and the chick kept telling me we cant do that, but i know they have. So i said no deal. I really didnt like XM much but since my radio has it installed already....... Hell wit it, im sticking with Sirius, has more of the music i like anyway.
