just wanted to tell you guys that i just got my 2nd motor back from http://www.propinch.com he first did my novarossi 528 and i was very happy with his work so i decided to send him my axial 28 and once again this guy did great work this axial is screaming now . so now i have a brand new axial 32 ready to ship to him on tuesday he just lowered his price to 60.00 for a full modding on any nitro engine this includes resizing the piston and sleeve, turbo charging the crank and some porting work, but he will also reset the head clearence and inspect the motor 100% and you will get your motor back in less then 4 days or for 20.00 he will resize just the piston and sleeve to get your compression back just like when your motor was new give them a call and make sure you talk to joel gish he wants people to call him so he can explain all the work he does im sure i missed a few details here is a link to the website http://www.propinch.com
i emailed them and never got a response im going to have to call them
So what exactly does this guy do to mod your motor? how bout some before and after pics. He makes it sound like pinching them is so technical when really its pretty easy, my dad used to do it at work and it takes litterally 5 minutes after you have the collet made for the sleeve lol
and jim czech pinched soem wicked engines, i know i had a couple that were fast.
propinch modded my motor not just pinched it the motor only had about half a gallon through it he does not do the standard method of pinching he does it with a precision press not the old fashion way of using a clamp and heat. as far as photo's go i took the motor out and went bashing and someone bought it right there on the spot after they saw it run .the way he modded the motor really woke that engine up. im sending my new axial 32 out to him on tues am when i get it back i will take some photo's or you can call him he might have photo's of his work. he has been doing his own engine's for years now he decided to start a buisness he is also rated 2nd in the nation for dirt oval track racing
im sure he knows what he's doing, but there aren't too many ways u can do a pinch lol I'd like to see some pictures of the stuff he does
mike he uses the newfangeled method that your dad and osrocket and wolkenheim and pucci and and and and have been using for years.
Lmao
who the hell cares how he does it? Eraser is just pointing out that he does a great job. Jesus guys I know it's your way or the highway but let the guy talk about something HE likes and was kind enough to share with us all. I'll be sending my os into him this summer, Thanks for the info eraser!
easy man, I was just asking about the mods he does for god's sake. Had to remark about this new space age way of pinching tho lol thats all

Actually, the way he does it it will last MUCH longer than the old heat and clamp method. If you read the website you'd know that.

Mike, for someone who "knows" so much about RC you don't come off very smart. Your attitude tends to make people put you in the asshat category and people ignore any advice you have because of posts like you made above. Rocco may tolerate it here, but your attitude and comments wouldn't be tolerated on any other forums i know of. If you want to be treated with respect then you should first give it.

Currently RC portwork isn't very advanced. Its very similar to the 50's and 60's where people knew this guy who could do wicked work. But the portwork isn't documented to anywhere near the level as today's porting on automotive engines. We don't even have a standardized dyno test or a SAE rating for gross output on these engines. Only mfg claims. Its not any one thing that makes a guy's portwork great. Its little things. Things that ONLY come with an understanding of fluid dynamics and knowledge of combustion chamber design that works.

Gimme a flow bench and we'll document how much a given airflow a given engine will support at a specific crank speed. That is a dead give away to how efficient an engine is when it comes to the crank design. However, for true power one needs to take into account the pipe and intake/exhaust timing of the portwork on the sleeve.

I may not know the details but I know whats important.
i like how my name gets dragged into it....
call him for more info all i know its not the same old clamping method he is one of a few guys that use this new method and so far i have been impressed that's why i keep sending him engines i could buy any motor out there but i have seen what his work has done to mine thats why i only use him and as soon as i send him my axial 32 out on tues and get it back i will be sending him my 2nd novarossi

You are a moderator, you stated quite a few posts ago that you were going to crackdown on it. I've yet to see it. You wanna get the forums in order you have to start with people slamming things for no reason. Mike did nothing but slam this guy's work without even thinking about it.

I've lost respect for this forum and there are few people on this board who even bother to help a guy out without smart remarks.
So as a mod should i reprimand you for being off topic right now?
i didnt slam his work jeez

hate to break it to ya thirdgen but Ed bridges at Eb mods does dyno motors and is probably the best in the business at what he does.
who effin cares who does what. If your happy with the work a guy does then you go to him. If you dont like some other guys work then dont go to him. Simple as that. No need to say my guy is better then yours when honestly I dont think anyone gives a crap were anyone goes. As long as your happy with someones work then why cant we leave it at that?
i dont have a "guy" was just curious
Wow,the 'bitch' meter is almost off the scale here Rolleyes

I didnt look at his site yet,but maybe I will keep him in mind for my motor when my new one comes in,that is if it ever gets of backorder Sad
thanks for point it that out drew........ Maybe you'd like to stop by an orphanage home when its on fire and throw gas on that too!
and also as far as the method propinch uses its not the old clamp or cnc method he is using precision die's or however its spelled call him to find out exactly what he does he does not use the same method as osrocket he is 1 of 2 guys that only use this method
what he is doing with precision dies and an arbor press truly is not space aged. aaron pucci has that setup. he bought it for $500.00 its cool that you like the work the guy does and you are recommending it. I dont believe czech ever bashed the guy nor did I the fact is that there a quite a few people using dies and a press. the clamp and heat method is really a short term fix and not a great pinch. maybe when one of my v specs gets tired ill check out his work. or i will mail off to j dub and he will put the cheesehead delight on it.
is Jesse on chitown as J dub chris? lol

I agree with that logic 100%.

Eraser posted another source for services. Each person is free to decide if they want to use the source.
like i mentioned in a previous post that i sent propinch my new axial 32 in just got it back today and once again his work was great this thing is screaming now. and thats running it with a cheap pipe and a 15 tooth bell .. you guys might have your fav person to do your mods but you should really give propinch a try you will be amazed at the way he mods the engine's
