Anyone ever assembled a RX pack using 5 rechargeable NiMh AA batteries? Would it work?

Thanks
If they are the smaller batts they will work.

If you want to do it, get some ib 1400's. I haven't had any problems with them.
I'm looking at the Sanyo 2500mah's. Most of the "normal" size Rx packs go 1400-1600mah. I'm more thinking about the capacity than the size of the pack.
u can use AA's just fine I built quite a few before i started buying them from team helotes. I usually did it 1-2-2 but I hear that 2-1-2 fits better in tighter boxes
Thanks Mike...just wondered because it kinda looks like a Helotes pack is exactly that...5 aa's? Any input on that?
yupp they offer those, 2600 5 AA packs for around 20 sumthing bucks cant really beat it and they are hand made not those gay bars u get on the cheap packs
Again, thanks fer the firsthand experience data!

they don't have to be any certain size, you can solder d-cells together if you want....
That's what's inside the big lantern style batt's!

I'm not worried about the radio box fit, it's more of a capacity desire.

I may just go Helotes and be done with it. No chance of frying the cells as I botch the solder job.

Yeah, I know that, but he was saying for a receiver pack, that would need to sit in a box.
