Well it ain't much but here's the start of the tube chassis for my rockcrawler, I got a lot more tube to be added but ran out of tubing at work last night!Confusedmash: So a trip to Napa Thursday to get more tubing is in order. I'll keep updating this as I go with it! LMK what ya'll think? The more I sit here and look at this cage it looks a whole lot like a dang Sprint car cage! Idea Hey why not I could build an 1/8th scale sprint car too! God I gotta quit listening to these voice's in my headConfusedmash:
looks cool!
Cool.. Don't forget to leave yourself some space to add in shock mounts later on.
Looks good so far but looks like a car exo cage sorta
Thanks ya'll, and yep like I said in the 1st post,(Sprint Car)!!Big Grin Big Grin
very cool start man...
Confusedmash:

I've got a torch and a welder, you have a pickup (well, it's a ford) shall I come by and start our project? Big Grin
John if you want to fund it i'll build it, "if ya build it they will come" I'm sure I can get a killer deal on the tubing from my buddies speed shop where we build stock cars! Maybe even I could build it there! lol
matt stop lol your about to go too far lol
John started it though! LMAO Big Grin
Yeah Bubba! Looks good so far, what axles are ya using?
Mad force axles! Not sure for tranny yet, I was lookin around, got a rustler trans but needs parts yet?
Tamiya has Jugg 2 axle up grades for 20 bucks!!!!

They come almost complete. Axle shafts and a few other things needed thats all! I should have mine tuesday!:joy:

I'm just saying cause I have been looking for these for a long, long time and a little jacked up on coffee!

The Mad Force axles should work out well with this build, can't wait to see more!
Sweet!! I just might get some of those too, cause i'd been throwing the idea around bout building a scale too!
Well I scrapped the other cage idea for a crawler, i'll use that one for another project! Here's the new cage I threw together this weekend, this one looks more like a real tuber so far! Most likely i'm gonna use an e-maxx trans with the mad-force axles now! If anyone has any spare Revo driveshafts they're not gonna use lmk cause i'll need them for this project! LMK what ya'll think of this one! I'm hoping to have the cage done by next weekend!Big Grin :joy:
Cool...Very narrow...
Looks sweet! So when could I expect mine?
JK
When ya want one? I kept it all on the board to make more, or even drew out a shorter version for a scaler maybe! LMK if ya want one, after this one i'm building a short one to fit under a clodbuster body Big Grin
Yeah ponch it's skinny, just enough to fit a trans between the framerails!:p: j/k

Matt
That would be sweet! I could put my Clod axles under oneIdea
since your handen out lol
If ya pay for the brake line i'll be more than happy to build ya one Jeff, oh and jeep-guy too!
Sweet! Bubba you Rock!!
