hey all, names Ryan Klemme (the E is not silent Smile ) i'mfrom iowa (more specific the quad cities), race 1/8 buggy (losi 8ight) have several other cars/trucks for toying with, home tracks are newberrys, and thunder road...went to LH for the first time on 3-22-07....know slim pretty well as well as carmello.

will be racing at peoria, princeton,LH,and waterloo this summer

1st yr racing 1/8 buggy, I used to race monster truck and truggy prior.

I am also heavily into the ""heads up"" drag racing scene as we have a mid-high 7 sec street car that we race, and we travel around alot for that so r/c racing will be interesting for me this year as im getting more serious into the r/c racing now.

thanks for reading my rant

Whoah there! I don't need to hear one man say that to another!!!! :p:

Welcome. If you are based in Iowa you should also check out teamrcmx.com's forums. They do alot of public shows near you, at least nearer to you than to me! Monster Jams, parades, etc.... Some good times out there.

Looks like we drive out 2 to 3 times a year at this point to do shows with RCMX.
welcome
hey 3rd gen...anything done to your t/a?...

and thanks for the linky
Welcome yo.
Yeah, I stripped it.....and haven't put it back together yet...:joy:

Have a stock LT1 out of a 95 roadmaster, custom harness that eliminates everything non-essential to the engine, including the MAF. Speed density now.

Spohn SFC's, Sphon LCA's, Spohn panhard bar. Looking to throw a Spohn torque arm in there too.

Thats all for now, but I have a cam and alu. heads for the engine I'd just rather build a new short block (or buy one) and send the heads to either lloyd elliot (eportworks.com) or Advanced Induction for some work.

Off the original engine I've got the ceramic coated hooker 2055's with air tubes removed.

I really need to put it all back together. Looking to pick up a T56 setup to convert though. Not really building it for drag racing, though I will drag race it, but I'd also like to do a track session at Road America, Blackhawk farms, Autobahn raceway, or any of the other tracks near here.

Did someone say Iowa?
Welcome, do you ever drag race at Cordova?
cordova is a shit hole...we go there here and there for some testing if we are in a rut, we also go for the midnight mayhams and take all their money LOL
No way, everyone I know that drag races likes the place. The only complaint is the sand and all you can do about that is pour a million dollars worth of concrete.
What other tracks you go to. The closest one besides that is Joliet right?
cedar rapids...cordova is for the junk yard dogs...we have a $90,000+ outlaw street car it dont go near that kind of crap unless its a last resort
also there is byron dragway on the out skirts of rockford..thats track hooks like no tomarow
