Its nothing special, no 65" plasma display here.

But I was walking through circuit city and had to double blink when I passed a 52" tv with a $399 pricetag. Blinking twice I had to think about it. It was open box, what was wrong with it?

After about 3 minutes I finally saw it. There was a scratch on the protective screen cover (exactly what its there for) So I talked to the rep, then called the MFG, turns out its only $100 to replace the screen.

So after a bit of thinking I put the plastic on the table(no payment and no interest for 18 months):joy:

Its a CRT, HDTV. 52" no HDMI but I decided I could deal with DVI and component inputs instead. Nothing else I own is HDMI and I probably won't be buying more HD equipment for a long while. And at $400 there wasn't anything in that size range that could display 720p/1080i.

They deliver it on Wednesday, but this is a promo pic of it.

nice TV, we just got a new tv about a month ago, my dad decided to buy one after seeing my uncles. and since my uncle is the tech guru in the family i told me dad to one up his younger brother that always has the new technology before him and get a 56" instead of a 48"

its a sweet TV, its only about 65-70 pounds too so i was able to carry it really easy with a buddy (i coulda done it alone but the box was way too big and too expensive for me to even try.)

we got a great deal and it was only $2100 instead of $3000. I still hate my dad for buying that instead of a new car...
You scored on the deal man. I just bought a 52'' LCD from circuit city for 1000 bucks. Those open box deals are unbeliveable.

sometimes. yep. just make an educated purchase, sometimes the "missing items" can really cost you.
HDTV'S are awesome! I'v got a 40" plasma sitting in my basement that I got in January. Playing xbox in hd is killer!!
Sweet...Just bought the http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?...8085317167.
Best Buy will deal with their prices. I got this for 1950.00. However, I did buy 2 of them.
In this case, the only damaged thing is the screen. And its not very obvious. I watched TV on it for about 45minutes before i finally decided that I could live with the scratch. And the cost of replacing the screen isn't that much. Also, its covered in the service plan I paid for too. Smile so its ultimately free, though I did have to pay for the service plan. Also I got the manual, and remote w/batteries. So its not bad for me at all.

If it blows up in a little under 4 years, just before the plan runs out well....I can get a new one for free. Smile
I have the same warranty on mine!
Cool buy! My 13 inch tv was a bargain at walmart for $40...
