nice motor
So I take it there was no saving the P5?
i got a rear bearing comming for it ... It definitely lost a good amount of pistion/sleeve seal...

Ill rebuild it and see how it runs. It may end up being a solid back up motor
Whats the performance like compared to the p5?
smoother, lots more top end.... Alittle less punch down low but clutch tunning will fix that.
Balanced crank,turbo plug.. Should rock
os.........Wink
good god....

have you ever ran one out? How would you know if not? I think engine choices / performance / longeivity are suited to fit a drivers needs / styles, powerbands vary from engine to engine from the little I know that I have learned hands on, they are suited to fit your driving style, I am looking for smooth, I am getting the 06 FR.21, Im curious to see how its powerband is, I hear its smooth with lots on top, I cant wait to find out!! Rocco, are the Nova's smooth curved powerband like a v-spec, or are they real agressive / radical, just curious? When I get a brand new mill, I think im gonna go v-spec and have fantom for a backup, thats nice mill Rocco, post pics when you get it installed bro Wink
dont worry man he is just talking out of his ass doesnt really know what he is talking about

I personally think that from my experinces with novas is that they have hella bottom with good top end...
I think the vspec may be even more punchy down low (Guess cuz i wont run them)
Personally from what ive seen is the p5x and vspec are very similar
I had a Picco p3, a racers edge .32 and traxxas 3.3, buy far the picco was the best for mid range and it got me through the longer grass at the forrest preserve, but the Picco would pull a wheelie on command and was excellent for getting the front end over the bases no problem. The Traxxas motor just did not fit my driving style, it was smoother but it just didnt do wheelies as well and it didnt have the right powerband to do consistent donuts. SO im thinking about getting a big block conversion and dropping a Vspec in my tmaxx because im curious on its power delivery. Smile
Sweet mill Roc!
JT you must have had the 3.3 geared wrong, I can do doughnuts with it in my 8ight and pops wheelies on command (rolling at about 1/4 throttle!) since I put a sheet metal screw threw the center diff!

Rolleyes
