thats some strong shit
holy shit that was crazy when they revved it it looked like the eazy ups were gonna blow away!
It's like 10,000 truggies running at once!! Lots of nitro fumes. The smart guys have respirators on, even outside the pit ropes.

Larry and Darryl stand there and breathe it all in and then turn around and are like "where did everyone go?"

duh
It burns your eyes too!
what the hell is that last vid?
RC Tractor pulling...twin engined tractor. And they don't like the smell, so they have an exhaust scavenging system using a flex hose, like a dryer vent.
Wussies!!
wonder what would happen if u ran the straight nitro for funny cars in one of our engines Smile
try it
find me 90% nitro and i will lol
when i went to nationals at joliet dragway there was this redneck working on a supercharger on one of the rail cars.... It was running and his face was pretty much right over the exhaust headers... His mullet was blowin in the nitro soaked exhaust that was hittin him dead in the face. Didnt even bother him! LOL
when u been huffin turpentine all ur life a little nitro exhaust is a welcome change lol
lol

It wont work
it would... Just not for long! LOL
It might if you use a ton of shims (the plug would only screw in one thread if your lucky, lol).

I could see maybe 50% working, but anything over that just won’t happen, but I would love to know how your test goes. lol
the shims go under the head button not the plug Rolleyes
Since when? I just folded them a couple of times...

J/p...

Well you get the idea right?

Shows what an electric person knows. LMAO Rolleyes
it wouldnt get hot enough to burn straight nitro. and compression isnt enough. you can throw a match at nitro and it wont burn. pour some on the ground and hit it with a hammer and watch what happens.its kinda like c4, you can set a match to c4 it will burn slow like a piece of wood. you can shoot it and it wont do any thing, it takes a large pressure/shock wave to ignite it to explosive levels. same with nitro in 100% form. 100% is too hard to light even for funnycars thats why they start them on alcohol and then switch to nitro. it you look at a funny car and the plugs they run they dont even look like a spark plug. they run two plugs per cyl not only to burn all the fuel being dumped in each cyl(which it only burns a small portion and the rest gets spit out the exhaust hence the huge cool flames we get to see) but to create higher pressure and ignition to burn the fuel period.
dang, someone knows his stuffSmile
shifting gears, so to speak....but staying on nitro...I recall reading an interview with crew chief from one of the top fuel teams and he commented that TF motors are ramming so much fuel in the cylinders that they are running just on the ragged edge of hydraulic lock in the engine. (We all know what hyd lock is right?ok) That is one of the principles of max power, max fuel, max compression, etc... but what he said that was os funny was that operating a top fuel motor the way they do is kinda like plunging a toilet with a hand grenade..it works, but it's really tough on the toilet.
i just looked up the price of pure nitromethane and for 500ml its $60.anyone want to give it a try? there is a fuel brand called wildcat that makes a 60% for r/c planes i think. dont know if they still do or not.I cant imagine that motor lasting to long.
