nah first time out with a GT I was using some beat as AE one and qualed 5th outta 14 Smile
Haha.... are you picking up the class too?? Find me one man. LoL
ya i am GT2
Is there a FT GT2 or are they all just the RTR GT2s??
RTR for now.
no ponch there is a kit
Ugg since when? god I'm out of it.
since it came out
yep there is a ft
What are the main differences and is it worth going to the kit? RTR is plenty competative I imagine.
I was really seriously considering one also. If you go to ae's web they list the diffrences. I am completly sure that the rtr will be competitive though.
RTR aint bad but im sure the electronics blow

I would only run the electronics temporarily. Then I would probably move the servos from the truggy to the GT and upgrade the Truggy servos. All I need is another reciever to run my radio until I upgrade that too.... Big Grin
for some reason it feels like I'm talking to myself lol hope I'm not interfearing with your guys conversation lol
No man.... its all good. Please feel free to add any imput reguarding GT in general. I would love to go with a new GT2 but if I can find a nice used FT GT I will probably get that. Mine had just about EVERY upgrade. I loved that thing.
a kid down the street from me just bought a rtr gt2 and he likes it. its pretty fast too
Confusedlap:
I held and looked over a new gt2 rs at the lhs and it seemed a TON better than the older gt's. I had one I can comment on them lol. and the price tag of it was only 279 so not bad either. They finally sealed the batt box:joy:
it is alot better than the original, little more prone to breakin but they worked out most of the weak points already

Yes the electronics would suck, and the engine would need to be replaced soon as the RTR come with a .15 and a "race" legal engine is a .12. Also the RTR doesn’t come with the quick change hubs, so if you want those then your looking at another 40 bucks just for those and that’s not including the wheels. So in my opinion I would just get the kit (only comes in FT, or RTR) as you get more for your money.
I am pretty sure for club races that I can run the .15 RTR motor though. Beyond that I know for sure that I won't be racing any mains long enough that I would need to use the quick change feature on the rear wheels, (though it is nice). Right now I am looking into the possibility of the FT RC10GT, but not the GT2. I'll see what I can get it for and then go from there. I know I unloaded mine cheap a few years ago before the GT2 was even out so maybe I can score a deal. That thing was mint too.
There was a guy running a .18cvrx in his GT at LHR during club races. No one cared because he wasn't in the top of the class.

My .02 cents about what is hardest to drive would be the GT's. I drove my scale for the first time this past saturday and it was way easy to drive fast....DISCLAIMER: this is my opinion
Haha.... I will never again run an .18 CVRX in a GT. I did it when I bashed/raced the FT and it was a wreck. It ate wheels like nothing....
