Had a friend who wanted an LSP-R, but he wanted a new one. He found a place that has LSP-R's for $260 brand new, http://www.ultimatehobbies.com, but when he tried to order he got an email saying they were out of stock, and wouldn't have any more until Hot Bodies made a new version of the LSP.

I'm confused. I thought Hot Bodies was pretty much done with the LSP, and that only the parts for it were being produced (for people like me who run it well above and beyond what it was intended for Smile)

Any truth to a new version of it? Or is it simply another budget version of the pro-r?
Who told you they were done with the lsp?!?!
Tower told me about 1 month ago that with Hotbodies merging with HPI (not that there was much to merge with the husband/wife thing going on) that Hot Bodies cars were being discontinued.

Dont' get me wrong, I love my LSP. More than I liked my Jammin CRT. Its an all around beefier truck, and it looks lower profile. If only I had a BCE LSP chassis........:joy:
Weird... I talked to hpi/Hb a couple months ago and they had zero plans to kill the lsp
There is a new version of the hotbodies buggy coming out, so I guess I could see them coming out with a new LSP.
Good point! Honestly with all the on-road wins that HB racks up i dont see them discontinuing anything
i dont see them being anything more of a sister company with HPI, u know they dont wanna share any of that on road tech. Prolly end up being like AE and TTR, only crappier stuff Wink

Big Grin
ya drew cuz that HB buggy REALLY shines Rolleyes
I wouldnt know,I dont race buggy. Just sayin you have not been yourself. To nice and that scares me!

So if they have a new buggy,is it safe to say they will have a new truggy?
Maybe...
The so called NEW buggy is just a hopped up version ( Hot Bodies brand upgrades like CNC parts and carbon parts ) of their two year old pro buggy, but with the addition of some sort of either captured hinge pins or nutted hinge pins. And they snuck in what looks to be some new CNC'd rear hubs.

My guess is that any NEW truggy in the next year or two will be a 95% same LSP with things that can be purchased and will adapt over no problem.

I'm thinking about jumping ship myself Idea
