Just curious if there are any other Hellfire owners who race at Leisure Hours. If so, what does your set up look like, what engine are you running, stuff like that? If you race a Hellfire, post up! Big Grin

Matt
ive only ever seen one guy race a hellfire at LHR. not sure if he belongs here tho.
Bummer. I was curious as to what kind of setup would work best for the particular track. I'm brand new to the racing thing so not sure where to start. One thing I would like is a new engine for it. Any suggestions?

Matt
Jesse Wolkenheim used to run one, said it handle great but couldnt get it to stay together for a whole race day
Thats not what I wanted to hear, lol.
sorry Smile
Well, hopefully I'll be able to keep it in one piece, lol. Like I said before, I'm going to want to upgrade the engine and was just curious what people are running and what works on the track. Any suggestions are appreciated.

Matt
take a look at the werks .28, Vspec, P5X
Vspec all the wayyy baby.
ya cuz u run truggy right? lol
Vspec is good regardless, truggy or buggy....no I don't run either but have seen and ran plenty to know.

what about Fantom/Radical Chad, supposedly they hang with all the big dogs? ( soon enough I will find out Wink ) lmao
good thing this isnt a traxxas forum... hellfire ~~~~>banned!!! lol!
You dont get banned for using the word hellfire. Its just on auto correct and your post is edited when you post it. Lame.

But I have seen maybe 2 there with hellfires. One is from down south and I dont know where the other guy is from.
I'd love to get a Vspec, but the ole wallet isn't quite that fat, lol. Basically, I'm looking for an engine that tunes well, is reliable, quick and affordable. I'm kind of leaning towards either an Axial .28 spec 1s or possibly a LRP z.28 Spec 3. Any other suggestions in this price range?

Thanks!
Matt
Well, I think I'm gonna with the LRP engine, unless someone has a better suggestion. Now, I need to know what type of header, pipe, clutch, clutch bell, etc. I'm gonna need to get running. I appologize for being such a noob, but I'm new to this.

Thanks for looking
Matt
Picco P3...That is cheaper than the vspec.
Id run the stock HPI three shoe clutch and a jp-1 pipe simple and effective
sportwerks 26 cheap motor you can getfor around a125.00 and lots of power! only come as a pull start but to use a starter bow you need a 5.00 backing plate.
