No Water spigot near by,
I was about to by one of those little helis at Al's yesterday. But after messing around with the flight sim for an hour, I gave up. Besides, my boy wouldn't be able to play with it.
So instead I got another slot car set. I say it at the Hobby Expo and wanted it ever since. Its the 1/32 Ninco Pro-Am race set. 31 feet of track skillfully crammed into a 4'x8' space! What a hoot this thing is! I always wanted some big slot cars, but space was always an issue. No more! I must say that it is fun, but I still love my HO slot cars. I will get pics up soon.
Dang...Alot of track right there.

Those are cool, and they came with the set!
The lame Boxters are just ones I bought for practice. The guy at Al's was very helpfull and tipped me off on hot glueing the motors in place and adding extra slim magnets to the underside for more fun and play time.
Niiice...
I went regular slot car racing with a friend once. I want to say they were called wing cars. Up to about 70mph and they would go flying if you didn't slow down enough for the turns.

slot cars are cool man... I got out of RC in the mid 90's and went to slot cars.. they were fun, minimal work to maintian.. I did have a drag car at one time that broke 90mph, all was good until it hit the glue strip to slow down, it got out of shape, hit the wall and pretty much shattered the thing.. Sad Big Grin
Cool! Too bad there was no video.
Inspiration for my next slot car track!

I think I raced at that one a couple of times.. there's a cool one up at JK products in McHenry, he has three tracks there, very very fast...
Here's my other hobby/job! Building stock cars, drag cars, rat rods, etc. Here's a few pics of what i've been working on. The Black car is a customers car that runs ashpalt late model class in this area, the red car is my buddies vintage stock car he's building(64 Chevelle), and the 2 pictures of just the roll cages are 2 brand new cars, one is my buddies kids car that he'll be going to Nashville to race within a few weeks! Oh yeah the 57 Chevy is a drag car we're helping build for a guy! I'll update the pics as we make progress!:joy:
Holy sh!t! cool man!
