I am gettin pretty sick of all the childs play here. I think all the kids screwin around should find a new freakin hobby. It's startin to make me wonder if I am in the wrong hobby myself. You can't even have a website among friends and people you know without it going to hell with inmature bashing of other people. Now all of the sudden we have people from canada showing up talking trash about people. If you want to give a heads up ok but enough with the trash. It's starting to get stupid. I am a faithfull here and love the rc hobby but lately I really havn't been loggin on as much cause of the stupidy taking place. Mr. Tune puts a lot of time and effort in this site and it doesn't show cause of the ignorance taking place before our eyes. We all know who messes with each other and it's cool (Dan ,Mike, Rocco lol) but this outsider messin has got to quit or I'm out of here. Sorry if this is a rant and dosn't make sence but damn I've had enough!
Unfortunately, that is part of the "Hazzards" of being in this hobby. Keep in mind, for the most part, we are adults playing with toy cars. There is going to be some ( a LOT) of younger members, who haven't reached a level of maturity yet. There are going to be threads that we all just grit our teeth reading, but unless it gets too out of hand, we just have to grin and bear it.
yea but what I don't understang is that there are younger people on here who know how to behave. I guess this just means that I'm gettin old or something. I would like to say thanks though to those whoe are of the younger crowd that can act respectfully. You know who you guys are!
I agree, I know some people are here to get information and try to sell stuff. This latest (episode) went a little far I think. If you want to warn other members about something that someone has done then do it, but do it respectfully. There is no need to start flame wars over stupid little stuff like this, no need to start calling people names and start to clutter all the threads up.

One must ask himself what lured him to this forum in the first place, I speak solely for myself, but I love RC cars, and I always have, and I always will, I wont let the drama/spam/BS from some youngster override the huge amount of information this forum and its members share, this is a great tighknit community for the mostpart it seems, and I'm somewhat an outsider looking in, since I have yet to meet any of you in person, but nonetheless I have made some friends, and learned A LOT, and acquired some good deals. I guess to sum it up man, focus on the positive, and not the negative, its a waste of time and energy, while you are worrying about a rant from some BS post, you could be learning about that new v-spec you want, or rc8 thats released soon, or paint styles that are fresh and hip, or any other subject on rc cars or off topic related threads as well, thats why Im here man, good people, good info, and good deals!!!! just my 02, hope it helps bro.......stick around, dont let them win man. peace chi-town!!!! They know how to behave because their parents tought them that. Those who are here and dont behave. Then either their parents didnt show them how to play well with others. Or they just dont care.
But this is just another one of those things that we have to deal with that includes the real world. We have to deal with the jackasses(like myself
) and those who dont care about anything but themselves. Young and old both do it. Only difference between that is,if we dont like what the older ones say. We can do something about it

it just seems like they are coming out of the woodwork lately. I can make a list off the top of my head with about 10 names just in the last 3-4 months. It just pisses me off. I don't even know mr. tune but I feel bad for him.

Addicted just ignore them and will be fine, yes they will PO a ton of people (which that is there goal), but if you ignore them long enough they sometimes go away, and when they don't they get banned and all is back to normal again.

This is actually my favorite site becuase the least of immature play comes in here. And I've talked/ seen alot of people here before.
We are all immature at some point in time or the other on this board! It's gone but if any body read what me, Dan, Ponch, Mike, and a few other members did on the traxxas forum you would be saying the same things about us! We basically did what he did to the other forums. We acted like jack@ss to get banned. I'm 22 years old, and not the most "mature" person in the world. But it's what happens when you are around friends! We get a little goofy. Sometimes a little over the top.
I have been on this board for a while now. I've seen it climb from a 250 member board where everything was pretty much on topic, to a 500 member board where things got a little out of hand, and then order got restored(kinda) now it's at 700+ members. It is becoming a huge site with people from all over joining! There is a reason for it! This is one of the best boards to meet frinds and get very good info!
We are mainly locals and know each other(I honestly can't remember most of the people I have met over the past year and a half). I like this board because of that and we joke around. If I wanted to just get info and not have fun doing it I would join the "grid" or the traxxas forum.
Tune, Rocco, CEMEB4DK, Gabe, Six Vi6, and the other mods I'm sure I'm forgetting, do a good job at realizing whats a joke and what isn't funny. They know the core group and know when we are giving each other chit or things are getting a bit to serious, or when some one isn't playing by the rules! Occasionally the board will get a person that is not so desirable. It's the way the internet works. Anybody with a phone line can become "someone". You just have to deal with it. And sorry to say this but if 3 or 4 bad apples are able to spoil all of what you have invested into this than maybe it's not for you? I'm not as serious about this hobby as alot of people on the board but I am willing to deal with a couple of idiots for the simple fact that I have way to much time, money, and love invested in this to throw it all away!
In closing don't let the bastards get you down! Instead of running, stay try to help make the board better. Post more info, don't get involved in the BS. Thats what the tech forums(speaking of the ones on chitown) are for. They are very serious about those. They stay on topic with very good information about 99% of the time. Also i have noticed since the first day I joined that the ban hammer has been swung a lot more since the board has gotten as big as it has!

I don't think its right to say that its all kids that are being immature, I understand that it is kids, but not all of us are immature and cant keep control of ourselves, i just have when people say that its the kids that are messing up forums especially knowing that i try as hard as i can to not act like a kid and to act more like an adult or at least a mature teenager. But then theres that one kid that has to go and make everyones views of teens/kids on any forum bad. they give the people that act fine a bad name.
I don't like people coming in to the forum and spamming, but i really don't mind people that come into the forum to say that they are coming here to visit and want to know what there is to do RC wise here. Or people that have lived here and still want to keep in touch with everyone here. But the people that come to the forum just to make trouble are the big problem.
