Heidi Hoe !!!!!
ohh my!!
tex download the msn toolbar. It has a great built in pop up blocker and also a few other cool features.
I use firefox and have zero popups.....I'll leave it like it is.
How you get those pop-ups from quicktime I dont understand. I dont use any of that spyware crap or pop-up blocker and dont have any problems with that stuff. That MSN Toolbar is crap mich. Do you use any kind of firewall Trip ? Or anti-virus software? IF you have a quality program like that, you shouldnt have to install any other software for pop-ups.
tex, was that you i seen walking down central today? if not i found your twin.
you found my twin then Firesprink.

I use Ad-aware and Norton anti-virus Rich
gabe next time im out yourway il hook you up with some great computer software that will protect you from pop ups and virus's. I cant even remember the last time ive seen a popup on my computer and i download regularly and have dozens and dozens of programs running that generate pop up stuff. Plus im not loosing any computer speed either doing what i do. Ya i know im a computer nerd.
Hey Mich, What is the Software you are refering to? I might want to try that out.
well i use norton system works 2004 for all my protecting needs and to also use it for defraging my drives and fixing any kind of registery problems windows might have. Then i use msn toolbar to stop any kind of pop ups and also as a searching tool for the internet and a quick email link also. Ive got a ton of different software and tons and tons of programs but those 2 are what i mainly use and ive never had a single problem with either of them. If anybody wants a copy of norton let me know and il make some.
Thanks Mich, but no thanks. I'm happy with what I have now. I use google to search.
Ive gotten all kinda spyware on my main (Super Hoe... Wink ) system which is down with a bad monitor right know, because I do alot of file sharing and u name it. Also u can get hijacked through java or shackwave which everyone uses. The 2 programs i mentioned earlier get 99% of the spyware, but sometimes u have to go in the old fashioned way and remove the malicious program with a utility like Hijack This which reads the windows registrys and allows you to remove program. u can also set a restore point. Oh and Norton IMO is garbage. My parents use it and a trogan made short work of there computer. I dont use any Virus protection.Firewall good.
