They wer mising tackles and blowing coverage in the first quarter, when the Bears had the lead. Like I said, it was a TEAM loss. They got there as a team, and they lost as a team. To put it all on Rex is ridiculous.

Check out some of these stats of their early years to put it in perspective:

Favre 37 TD's and 39 INTS NO SB Appearances(33 games)

Montana 34 TD's and 21 INTS NO SB Appearances(32games)

Elway 47 TD's and 52 INT's NO SB Appearances (42 games)

Peyton 52 TD and 43 INT's NO SB Appearances (32 games)

Marino 68TD's and 23 Int's NO SB Appearances (32 games)

Aikman 31 TD's and 46 INTs NO SB Appearances (38 games)

Grossman 27 TD's and 26 INT's ONE SB Appearance (24 games)

Player TD's Int's Games TD's/Game Ints/Game
Farve 37 39 33 1.12 1.18
Montana 34 21 32 1.06 0.66
Elway 47 52 42 1.12 1.24
Peyton 52 43 32 1.63 1.34
Marino 68 23 32 2.13 0.72
Aikman 31 46 38 0.82 1.21
Grossman 27 26 24 1.13 1.08

Not too far off huh?

After the 1st quarter? Thats weak.
I do give them credit, they stopped Indy in the redzone alot and they had to settle for 3.
But still. Yes,they were out there to long. But come on,we only got one sack all night long. They were to focused on manning and they never saw the rusher go right past them. The line didnt hold, and everyone else were to worried about the wideouts. They left the short area wide open and that is where they got hurt.

Basicly the bears that we know showed up in the 1st quarter and then they were on the bench the whole time after that but for a handfull of guys.

Having only one RB didnt help either. This team is set up for 2 like many others in the league now. Rex was able to nail those passes in the final 2 minutes because everyone else knew the game was over. So they didnt try as hard as they were before. I know I wouldnt!

But still, everyone is missing the point to all of this. I said it,and slow said it. Atleast we were there. We made it. We didnt get blown out like many said would happen. It was a good game given all the mistakes made. But we made it to the big dance and they will do it again. This team is here to stay.
I agree.
Whats weak about it?

Listen to the radio... Somthin that just isnt local... The offense blew. The defense even though was soft to the run up the middle was on the field waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too long and its the fault of the unproductive offense!
And yes, even after the 1st quater they could have been tired.... They basicaly played the entire game.
The TEAM lost it. It wasn't just Rex, that is my point. Were they out there too long? Yes. But it was still a team loss. It's not like the defense held on 3rd down every drive or every other drive to force a punt. They didn't force turnovers or anything. What they did do was play a safe game to cover their ass. HAd they gone out and played like they always did, attacking the ball and the line, and given up a big play, then everyone would have been on them for that. The game was played, and neither the offense nor the defense played well. The defense needs to stay healthy next year, and the offensive line needs to give rex some time to calm down. He can't develop fundamentals if he is always scrambling. Pay lovie some more, and maybe pick up another wide out. I concur.
There you go,they want off the field. Hold manning on 3rd downs. They couldnt do that. They have played harder games before and played better then sunday. Look at the AZ game and what they did. Hell, they held the leagues best offense which was the saints down and we walked all over them! The whole team was off their game. Just because one side falls, doesnt mean the other can lay down too. And they basicly did that. Indy saw it,and used it.
I really dont know how you say it wasnt rex's fault?

He couldnt even take a snap! And dont tell me its cuz the ball was wet Payton had wet balls all night! (laughing inside at that pun!)

He was personally responsible for 3 turnovers...

They even spotted him a 7 point lead to start the game.
He is not the sole reason for 3. 1 INT for sure. The first INT was a miss-Q on both their parts from what it looked like to me.

The 2 snaps, first one,yes that was rex. The second one didnt look to be that way. Like it was just a bad snap.

What are you doing on?! Go save a cat in a tree or something!
Im off today! LoL!!!!!
lol man all the armchair quarterbacks hahaha
It was the offense that was the problem!!! How can you see otherwise?

You mean to tell me that only allowing 22 points to the colts while being on the fields for more than 40 minutes is equal to playing bad? No way! Thank god for the interception a few forced fumbles, the score could have been way uglier.

For gods sake, don't go 3 and out every freaking time and expect to win! Take away hester's runback and the huge 50+ yarder by jones (which ended up leading to a touchdown) and the score would have been 29+ to 3!!!

The offense sucked ass, anyway you look at it.
+1 DImo
Now that I think of it, even there field goal only happened because grossman was given the ball in enemy territory. It's not like they drove down field...

What a waste there offense was last night....Sad
F I N A L L Y!!!!!! Demo for President!!!!!
I almost want to quote my own numbers from above. You don't just start out great. You need league experience. He has started only 24 games. He's young.
nah wont happen hillarys got a bigger wang lmao jk jk
Extremely lame excuse dan... If your good enough to get to the "show" then you dont get to use that excuse
rocco79 Wrote:Extremely lame excuse dan... If your good enough to get to the "show" then you dont get to use that excuse

It wasn't an excuse. I am just saying that the offense AND defense lost the game. The defense played good when compared against any other defense, but not compared to what they really are. They were not pressuring manning, they were not forcing turnovers. The offense definitely could have been more productive, but this wasn't like one of those games where the defense was amazing and all of the points came off of interceptions and fumbles. The Bears as a TEAM could have played better and that is all that I am saying. They lost, and I hope to see them play even better next year. Smile
cmon dan give it up
Never!!!
Sure sounded like a lame excuse
just stick to the sox alright? lmao
