Is is mandatory that you use a Computer Radio (ie; M11, Nomadio Sensor, ect) if you run a digital servo, to keep the servo from frying or tearing up. (I have been reading some other stuff out there.) I don't know anything about them other than they are fast, and heavy-duty. Will the Spektrum DX 2.0 work just fine running a digital servo, as far as all the neccessary adjustments are concerned? Any info on this matter would be greatly appreciated.
yea it should be fine to run digitial servos
You should be fine. Digital servos will drain a little more power, but have better holding power. I ran a digita steering servo with a JR XR2 and never had a problem.
On the topic of digital servos, how much more power do they drain compared to analog and what is the overall advantage, if any, running digital servos?
I didn't notice any big difference. I was using a cheap rx pack (stock revo one) and it was still fine for a race day. I would charge it before the mains just to be sure though. It was a JR servo and it held VERY well.... now I haven't noticed any ill effects of running an analog servo now though.
