I tried to trickle charge a 5 cell MaxAmps 1400 mAh pack on my Intellipeak Pulse and it makes this low pitched buzzing sound. If you try to peak charge it (even @ .5 amps), the buzz becomes a higher pitch.

On a std. 110v wall charger it does not make any noise...I've charged & used this pack before and it seems to work fine. This was the first time using in on the other charger. I charged my Ballistic 1400 hump pack on the Itellipeak charger and it made no noise at all....(this I assume to be normal)
The MaxAmps pack is a 5 cell flat pack and you can feel the buzzing at the center cell on the flat tab side (not sure if that is relevant info or not)

 Any idea of what's happening here??
Drain that pack out and dispose of it at a battery drop of station. One of the cells could be leaking and if it bursts it can get ugly. Chris Arnold knows about batteries pretty good and he would have a better answer, but it does seem like your describing a bad cell.

battery dump station? cmon joe lol

throw ur charger on like 10 amps and try to blow that biatch up!
Lol
my luck it'll explode blowing some partsoff my t-maxx that aren't already broke and p me off even more lol
Battery drop-off station. Radio shack has one. and so does many other places, just dont throw them in the trash.

Or just try to contact the makers of those packs and try to get them to warranty it for you.
I should try that it's only been charged like 10 times or so
dude who cares tree hugger just toss it in the sewer Wink
Confusedlap: cmon mike lol
Thanks JT, a bad cell sounds like a reasonable explanation...just curious why the 110v wall charger wouldn't make it buzz (must be less than .5 amps)...I've never had a decent charger before, always just used thre RTR type.
Wall chargers are real low charging, thats why they say to let it charge for like 12-15 hours when using them.
.1 amp for most
