I will be there at 8 to get some practice with the new buggy. Anyone else racing Sunday?
Not sure. Might have a family thing going on. Still up in the air right now.

But will take the rest of the month off after this weekend.
I am looking forward to racing this weekend because I am getting a promotion at my job and don't know what hours I will be working yet.
My next promotion is in Peoria sometime next year.
truggy next weekend for me
I'm not even sure if it's worth me coming out.... I think I may have picked the wrong class to race being it's my only RC car...
Tex, what were you thinking when you went to 1/10th? It's ok as a second class around here.

On the up side you'll always be in the A-main! LOL!!!
I was thinking it would be a cheap, fun class. I guess I didn't think about the fact that I would barely ever get to race.
From what I've seen and heard they'll definately make you a better racer. Maybe get a buggy also when you can.
Ill be there sunday , gonna debut the eight , i would run gas truck but its in detention for being evil last weekend .
im planning on gonig out, I to will be out there around 8.......tex maybe buy a nicely used buggy or truggy and race that?? and Gt when enough guys?

Yeah.... I was begining to think that a bunch of people were going to jump into the class with you, but I don't think that is going to happen. They just don't have the raw power and speed of the other classes.... so I think people don't like to run them. Why don't you look into scale now? The Kyosho's and Jammins are going pretty cheap now that the 8ight came out. Once the AE buggy comes out I see stuff dropping some more. That is the reason I picked up the Hyper 7. I think it will still be fun to race, though not the best race buggy, and it was damn cheap for what I got.....
guys I don't have the $400-$500 (that's going cheap) to get into 1/8 scale RC's. Buggy, starter box, motor, receiver, servos, etc.....

I WILL NOT try and race something like a Hyper7, I would rather not race. Too frustrating.

Gas truck is a ton of fun in it's own right. You can't really judge them until you've raced one. Bashing not included.
I raced a FT RC10GT. It was a great truck, and really made you drive well. There just isn't a class around here right now. And although the Hyper 7 is not the latest and greatest, on a college budget, I think it was a damn good deal. It is tough as hell and I honestly don't think the buggy will be holding me back all that much in scale. If it does then I will look to a different one and keep this one for bashing.
Tex, you picked the right class, trust me. There will be GT racing going on this weekend. Ill Talk to GQ and Nick to see if they are coming out. I know Slim is racing GT now also. So hang in there, this is by far a fun class, no hacking.
Ive raced every weekend for a month ... Im taking a couple weeks off
Im planning on going Smile
Where were you last week E?
Just to let anyone interested I will have my M11/Spektrum up for sale on Sunday. Just need to use it for racing.

I took a week off, that and it would have been too much money for me with the entry fees, plus I needed fuel too.
I also had to take my wife and daughter to get the real Xmas tree Smile

Besides.....at least you got 4th place instead of 5th, right?
Big Grin J/K
In other words you were afraid to get beat at a non-club race, right? Wink
hmmmm lol
When I was racing with the big MT's with the GT I was hacking MGT's and LST's hahaha...that was a sight to see... little ol' me pushing them right out of the way...
I swear it was an accident......
