Mike had a drivers meeting before the heats began and laid the law down! Thanks Mike. We are all gulity of being ruff time to time but when everyone is driving ruff i know i was like, "why should i run clean?" Im sure everyone was thinking.
why should u run clean? so ur painter doesnt hae to do u another body lol
yeah some real good racing had 5 mains
The clean racing made for some exciting racing to watch. I'm really glad to see it. I think everyone benefited ultimately.

Yeah i forgot my painter hates money
Rubbin is racing. If the hit was by accident. I am not upset unless the marshall is to jumpy to go out and get my truck. But if the hit was a cheap shot and was the reason because the other driver couldnt wait to get a window or didnt wait at that. I might let it pass the first time, but after that. I would put that under dirty.

There will never be a clean race to where people are not getting bumped. Hell,I did it myself today a few times today. All accidental, but still. It will happen,I think one of the main things that makes it so bad is if it happens in an area where the marshall is not watching,or to scared to go out and touch the truck.

+1
Anytime you hit rub someone and mess them up off their line. The proper thing is to wait til they catch up. For example, your both in a corner and driver A has the line and you hit him and you both spin out, the proper thing to do id let him go first, then continue to race.

To many times I have been hacked and the guy just keeps going, that pisses me off, But if he waits, its all good in my opinion and you know it wasn't a hack it was unintentional contact.
I tried that today and it didnt turn out to well. Traffic jam in the corner. He did get the spot back but flipped right after so I kept on going.

But its not always that easy to do that on a track with there are 10 trucks out there. I have to remind myself that where I raced then and now are like two different worlds.

But if I feel I screwed someone up bad,or I can see I might of upset them. I try to go and say 'I'm sorry' like I did with john today. I just couldnt stay away from him once he passed me on the track.
thats one big thing around here, although there may be hacking from time to time there is alot of courtesy when u goto the bigger races there is none of that. No waiting for nobody and it sucks. At CRCRC last year Drake said racing in the Midwest is alot more fun because of stuff like that, I guess nobody waits for anyone in west coast club racing hahaha

I saw that tonight, that was great!

Yea,my other track,we only waited if we cut the track. Other then that,we just kept on going.

Bruce, you were down there with lance a few times. Do I remember wrong with how the racing there and here is? Granted,I was in the Traxxas class there. So it could be different.
That old "rubbing is racing" line is getting a bit tired when used in the context of R/C. This is open wheel racing!!! I don't care for anyone other than my girlfriend "rubbing" my rearend. LOL!!!

Casketman, yeah I did notice that people at RVR would wait if they cut the track by accident, we should also. I do.

I think this discussion is very healthy and I hope this trend continues...
+1 MIke. Also I always try to let the faster driver go by. I will just go outside, it makes no sense to wreck both of you. Especially I recognize the truck, and they are by me on the stand, I will say " I'm going out side so you can pass"

See,at times today. I couldnt even hear what John was saying on the PA. So I doubt I would be able to hear what someone else is yelling at me. Plus I tend to zone out and just focus on my truck sometimes. But I was pulling over so much today,I didnt know who I was racing against for a spot and who was leading. I let eric and john go by,kevin a few times too I think. But other then that. I had no clue.
I can never hear John on the PA. It's too loud and bassy. It needs to be re-EQ'd and turned down.

Yea but as far as hitting or bumping. I remember in my class,we didnt wait alot. We just kept on going.
and thus the basher class got its name lol
uhhh mike he ran truggy today buddy....
uhhh i know he is talking about the traxxas class at the other track where they didnt wait. You always make me wonder, can u read or no? Smile
No,we were not bashers. But in the times we did bump&run on someone. We didnt wait. It was a very tight, small track as bruce will agree. So it was one of those things you just had to deal with. You get a opening and you had to force the issue sometimes. But it also lead to some great racing as Briyouu and Bruce both will agree with also.
i was just joking anyway, I was at RVR once it was fun super hooked up but the poles in the middle sucked lol
You get used to them after a few times. Then you just have to trust where your truck is going. I do miss catching the cars and saving them from the poles!
only downside was getting outta there at like 230 in the morning hahah
Yea,my first race there. I got out at 2am. Nothin wrong with that. Hell, most of the guys would go hit the bar after that.
lol i know but my parents werent too happy wiht me getting home at 330 LOL
