Sh!t tex.... Man, that F'in blows . Hope you find a mill before finals
Casketman Wrote:I get the feeling the motor might be hurt too. He was talking to me while he was 'dumping' the parts out and yea..that bearing was TOAST!

I have the stock traxxas horns for a hitec servo. I might try to use one of the hitec horns and see how well that holds up. Also thinking about putting the stock servo spring back in.

Definately use an aluminum horn on the steering. Try to rig up an L shaped aluminum horn for the throttle, I think if you have 1 point facing forward for the brake linkage and one pointing to the drivers side of the truck for the throttle it'd work.
My old TM is in pieces and I have no use for it if it can help you out...Wink
Tex can ya use a 2.5 in your truck? If ya can ya can use mine out of my Maxx if ya want? LMK i'm not using it now anyway, and if it helps you thats better anyway:beer:

Matt
It was steering that went out. So I am looking up either hitec horns or ofna horns. Both Alum. Hope I can find one that will fit so this problem will go away.
get a dynamite horn there like 4 bucks and work fine...
I got tex covered for a motor. I still got my 3.3 he's gonna use.
Cool for Tex!:joy:
that should last a couple quals Wink
lol Mike, I was thinking the same thing! hahaaa
you going to a truggy tex?
caskettry using one of the hitec horns that came with the servo( the + one and cut 3 of the sides off. held up perfectly for me
I knew I hung on to those things for a reason. I just cut down one of the 2 sided thick plastic horns to fit on the revo(had to cut a side off because I still use the servo guard). Drilled one of the holes alittle bit bigger and put the screw threw it. Turns like a charm.

Also got lucky on the screw. I have a screw set from racers edge for the revo and one of the cap head screws fits the servo great. So no more phillips head for me!
ya whatever. It could be worse, he could be driving a TTR.
oooo ouch ow someone get me ice for that super LAME ass burn. Mich remember when that shitty TTR schooled your jammin's ass at Pro series???
ouch x2, one for you mich and one for you mike....lol
To bad my truck wasnt setup or anything. Havent had any experience with 1/8th scale ever. You at least had buggy to easily convert you over.
2 for me his wasnt even a burn lol
ya my first race ever with a truggy only got a few tanks of practice too
Ok girls
but you've driven buggy so you knew the concepts of the truck and scale. I was starting fresh with no knowledge on it at all. So right off the bat you had a huge lead as far as that goes.
i personally think M/T is closer to AMT that 1/8 bud.... sorry to say. Nothing compares to an 1/8 buggy...
thanks mich for sharing your motor and everyone else who offered, that's very cool of you guys.
ya but the setups are going to be close to the same. There built off a buggy platform. Only major difference is the truggy has longer shocks and bigger tires with different differential gears. As far as getting them setup theres no way you can say a MT is closer to a truggy then buggy to truggy.
they both have their simularities as far as handling...a center diff is like buggy and big tires like MT
