I know a few of you from the Showmerc board and I know I just met you guys once and I know where we meet at in berwyn. Where do the rest of you go to do some bashin. I live near schaumburg and unfortunatly its hard to get to berwyn and bash since is kinda far and I usually have limited time. Anyone know of any cool spots out in the burbs?
There's a bmx track in elgin off of lake st. (rt. 20). That's where I like to go.
I heard about that but was not sure if they let us RC there. When are you going next, I would like to meet you there and bash.
Hoping for this weekend. Gotta get the savage running again. I broke a bunch of stuff in an attempt to do forward flips last time I went there.
what are the directions and let me know if you get everything fixed and want to run. What kind of schedule do they run there? Are there only certain times when you can run RC, thanks alot.
Usually on Sundays nothing is going on over there. They have never hassled Tune and I about the RC stuff, most of the time they sit and watch. I don't think they mind as long as you're not hogging the track.

Gotta get the buggy running, maybe I can join you guys this weekend
BTW, the track's site with schedule info is http://www.thehillbmx.com
thanks guys, you gotta let me know if you are goin and when. If its not this weekend then maybe next.
I set a date a time when myself and Jack will be there and what we're bringing with us.

I started a thread that has all the information needed

What kinda vehicles do you have?

Would you like to run them on tracks, either just running the track practicing or racing?
chicagokenji, you post on the Leisure hours forum right? Does Leisure still have nitro practice on Sats?

I just have the one T-Maxx right now, you can check it out on the pics/video page.

Yes, Yes, and uh, yes. Let me know what you got in mind.
When I get the JT Maxx running again on the racer x I'm up for running at leisure on a sat if they still have open praceice then. Only thing is ya can't beat the berwyn jumps in the BBQ and Beer RC hangout category.... well except for Camp Maxx. Sundays are tough for me to get out on and I usually just get out to a parking lot 2 mins from my house in schaumburg to run my landmax for an hour or two. a drive to elgin could happen but right now I have nothing to run there. Rolleyes
Sounds good Six, I wouldnt mind checking out the track in Tinley Park one weekend. They have open practice from 12 to 2 on Sat's. Sundays are race days.
I drive on 90 towards the city from Arlington Heights to home and notice just past Lee street they are building some new buildings and there is a BIG area of unfinished land. It looks prime for bashing as from what I can see it's mostly dirt and seems to be fairly smooth. It looks like if you take higgins rd towards O'hare it's next to the United airlines office building. I might have to check it out sometime as it's only 10 minutes from the house.
Anyone ever get busted by driving in construction sites. I have always thought about it but I am not too sure about what the law would say. I have this 100ft tall gravel hill on a site thats just been teasing me everyday on the drive home and I'm dying to try it.
I've been asked to leave by cops or the ocasional rent-a-cops. Never been ticketed or anything. many times a cop will come by to see what you are doing but not tell you to leave or they will tell you to stay away from certain areas, like deep holes, machinery or stacked materials. construction sites are a ton of fun though.
