huh..... thanks tune!!!!!!!
I have digital HD and mine happens every now and then, I just live with it. There are other big problems in the world than my cable stopping for 2 seconds.
When it gets choppy real bad, it's because of a crappy signal. It should never be choppy, mine isn't.

roc, maybe when they wire up your place, they screwed up a connector somewhere. Have them come out and check it out. All the tech has to do is plug in his handheld signal checker into the cable line to find out for sure.

sorry we pay for service i expect it to work...
I have this problem too! My wife figured out that it fixes itself if you unplug the cable from the wall and turn it off for a few seconds. This hepls for a few weeks, then we need to do it again.
We got rid of comcrap a long time ago. DirectTV and SBC for internet. Only problems is when a strong storm comes around. No big deal
I have comcast for internet and cable. Overall I'm happy.
I do not use a box, the cable comes out of the wall straight into the TV, mine cuts out just like you guys every once and a while. It happens no matter what station it's on. It just breaks up and sound cuts out for like 2-3 seconds then it's fine. Happens about 1-2 times a day at least.
I have to say this only started happening within the last 6 months or so, never in the 10 years I've had cable has the picture cut out like this.
I use Dtv and I use cable for internet.
I have been a customer since they 1st came out.
The only probs I have is in really bad weather.

CC is not around here by me.
I've had Direct TV for 5 years. Once in a great while when i big storm hits, it'll freeze up. I spray PAM on my dish and transponder to help repel water. Seems to work. =)
That only helps with water Like you said.
Use vaseline---lasts longer---lol j/k
Actually put it on the exterior connections

It is the signal that can't get through is all
We've been getting this with basic cable for about a year now, just sionce that big storm blew through a couple of weeks back it's gotten worse, but a powerpole/line that got taken out by a lightning strike a couple of blocks from me did do some damage to Comcast's equipement
