got a tmaxx 2.5 out of ebay and got it tuned and running (which was a real bitch compared to my savage.) i was making good runs then suddenly heard a stripping sound. wasn't sure if it was the slipper or the clutch so i  checked. nothing, so tried running again and tmaxx just won't move no more. spur gear spinning and engine just reving. checked the tranny and there the reverse gear was stipped. had a spare tranny and popped in and it did it again. can anyone tell me what went wrongSad
ya Its a t-maxx
twice? in a row?
I would czech to make sure the reverse linkage isnt allowing reverse to engage while your running.
how do i do that?
operate the reverse servo and watch it push/pull the plunger on the trans, adjust the collet on the linkage. If I remember right, I needed to add more presure on the spring to push it closed.
I going by memory from over 2 years ago.
I would skip out on the reverse and get the Traxxas forward only conversion, it's $11 and readily available.
You'll end up taking a handfull of stuff out of the tranny and installing one little gear in it's place.
Less rotating mass= more horsepower
yeah i think i would be a good idea just to put in the focIdea . that reverse thing may be cool but doing that sucksSmile thanks guysConfusedalute:
