yeah zero lateral ply
Crud.
Welp, it looks like either my bearings are worn out or the end of the case and ring gear where the bearings ride is worn out.
when in doubt just replace them all. Its only a buck a bearing so it doesnt cost anything
ding ding ding we have a winner Wink
replace the case too... Just eliminate any cheapy part that can destroy 50 bucks worth of gears kid!
Fixed! I had the bearings on hand as spares (thank god Kyosho uses the same bearings in the hubs) the cup and gear were fine.

So this chit, 2 $1 bearings were the problem all along!?Confusedmash:

Just gotta put the diff back together, and shim it.

The bearings were so bad, if you shook them, the centers moved up and down, probably 1/4 the way to the edge.
yes basically
Greeaat..Somebody shoot me now lol
i believe it was Jessie Wolkenheim who once said to me ".......welcome to Nitro Mother F*!@$%" so inciteful lol
Yeah 10 mins later the diff is assembled, shimmed properly, with no side to side play, and it's ready for installation.
