we have been working on a new track here in the peoria area, its 2 hours from joliet its outside and its sweet. I know its a long drive and all, and its also on sunday at around noon racing starts. but man you got to see this place to believe it, its awesome. heres the link to the website. thats me on page 1 creating a rooster tail with the roller, lol. I'm sure some of you guys know the guys that have worked on this track, scott sternberg, don primetime davis, steve dunaway, marvin hite to name a few. this is the new peoria club track

Looks very well built! So will you have to join the club to race there, or will they be hosting special "open" events?
you will NOT have to be in the club to race.

they will prolly have a club set up more for the local races, pay a fee, then get a discount at the track and store... type thing.

here is a map to see where its at.

one of the benefits of this to is that during the week you can practice anytime you want, its in a public park on land donated by the park district.

LMAO!!!
sweet track
Very very veeerrry nice...
Is there an actual address on where it's at?
not that I know of man, I'm having a hell of a time even coming up with an address for the gold course or the bmx track
my friend used to live in peoria, or as he called it p-town, hes always wanted to fly back down there with me, (got his pilots license and they own a prop plane) maybe i can get down there next spring or this fall, it would be prettyfreakin sweet. looks like a great track layout.
hey heres the address, thanks to rick over at central rc
8416 N. Galena Rd. Peoria IL.
I have been watching this build at the site. My brother in law lives in Gridley. I make trips down that way every 2-3 months to our location on the south end of town for work. I have yet to see the track but it looks like it turned out great.
You guys thinking about trying to get in on the IL pro series? I talked to a guy at the lincoln track and he hopes that he can include joliet next year.

I doubt I will be a regular there. My brother in law maybe. He runs a revo. I might stop by when I visit on a weekend,or if you guys have a big local race going on like Mahomet does.
I also just registered for the forums. Waiting to get the 'ok from Don D.
wow that looks like a very very nice track. fast with big jumps.
hey thats cool casketman, not really sure whats in store for this track yet, this year obviously race till the weather heads south, but other than that all I can see is greatness for this place.
This is for the others up here..Wasnt there a track just over the line in Indiana that had their track set up in a park district and they were forced to close down. Think it was because of the noise from the trucks and PA system.

Hope that will not happen down there. What about punks that might want to cause damage to the track?
thats a situation that when it presents itself will be dealt with Confusedmash:
I don't think it will be shut down because of noise. etc. no one lives near there, its right next to an rc flying circles for those guide by wires planes. the golf course is far enough away that they shouldnt complain about the noise, and there is also a boat launch near by. for that matter you can get there by boat, plane or car, lol. the guys that designed and built this track looked into every aspect as they pay very close attention to detail. it should be good to go. already there has been a gopher there, that we tried to step on and drown, hopefully he gets hit by a monster truck, lol
I cant wait to get down there
Now that would be something different to race with. Dodging(or in some cases, chasing) little animals! Nice twist!

Oh damnit, who the hell called Peta!?
Sweet track... I'l definatly make a trip there. Im on vacation the week of the 16th, if its open to the public Im there. Providing the weathers nice.
