Czech-it-Out Graphics Wrote:well i dont think an 1/8th of a turn is enough if ur blowin plugs, check the rod to make sure its still in good shape and maybe use a temp gun next time lol

what are you tlkain about blowing plugs??? i only blew one and thats becuase it was 1- 1.5 gallons old...the motor is fine, but ill check it out better tommorow, but im pretty sure its fine, the motor still turned over fine
well when u said u blew a plug u sounded surprised so it seemed like it was soemthing new that had been happening
oh no, sorry i didnt mean it that way.

all I need ot do is retune it, buy a new plug, and try to get that dent out.

quick question though, when you freeze it the metal gets very cold and when metal gets cold its brittle, so wont it crack the pipe hen it expands??
you run the risk..... what pipe is that?
TTR? It might be fine.. The JP pipes can take the freezing well.. the ttr's are thick also but ive seen the split on the seem
well its the TTR one, so hopefully its ok. if it doesnt work has anyone tried doing it with a torch?
the thing that makes the dents pop out is the expansion of water when it freezes, the pipe doesnt expand, metal contracts when it cools
ok, well ill just do the freezing method till it pops out, thanks guys
ah shit..........well i put the pipe in the freezer and was gonig to check it every 15-30 minutes and while it was freezing i was changing my sisters brake on her ford ranger, and i forgot all about it, and when i go in to check I see the dent all popped out and im like sweet, then turn it over and im like shit, the bottom split. so i called my uncle and hes gonna bring some stuff over to try and fix it but its looking like its not gonna be fixable but well try anyways.......btu now im pretty sure I need a new pipe so what pipe should I gret thats realatively cheap say around 60??

thanks god i got paed yesterday, now i got a couple hundred for r/cs
pic up a TTR pipe off amain, get the long
Jp-3...
he said cheap not 90 bucks....

If I end up going to the track tomorrow you can borrow my JP-1 if we're running outdoor or my jp-2 if we're running indoor, but I'm not sure if I can go yet.
ok thanks....well see.

im still not sure either, cause my engine might have blown. looked at it yesterday and its not looking to good.....but im gonna have to check

What do you mean by it's not looking good?
what will you run matt?
What do you mean what will I run...

1/8 buggy?

I have a jp-1 and a jp-2. I run the jp-1 indoor and the jp-2 outdoor. You could use either that I'm not using.

well i think there is a little tiny gouge at the top which will cause it to run bad and blow plugs but im not sure, had to leave so didnt get to good of a look. so....i have to try it out
nope engines fine.....thank god
That's good. Sounds like I'm going tomorrow, I called the track and they said we're running outdoor, weather permitting, not like last week where the outdoor track was swamped and not ready in time to be run on.

I'll be there.
Wel'll go indoors if the track isn't runable right?

Hope you can run tomorrow traxxas thrasher.
go too lh and see if what a jp (get the silver one... Cheaper than hard ano... Not as cool but hey!)will cost ya at lh... Cant be more than 60 bucks and i like it ALOT more than the Jp-2... I think the jp-2 blows IMO... I have one and do not care for its powerband at all!

Yeah but I called lh about an hour ago and said as long as it isn't raining tomorrow we'll be outside. Forecast for tomorrow is good too, sunny/partly cloudy.
