Since my hobby time has been limited due to my little one and my wife working my off weekends. My interest in Golf has rekindled big time. So those of you that know me well enough know I just jumoed right back in and got all new stuff. LOL

Just wondering if anyone else golfs and how often and where at...
Golfing has got to be more laid back than R/C racing right ??? Isnt the season over soon ???
I tried hitting the range a few times. It wasn't pretty, lol. I don't think golf is for me Smile.
yeah it is.... Its really alot of fun. Where else can you get frustrated hitting a little ball, hang with friends and drink and drive legally...
My swing aint pretty either LOL

I like the challenge of not being good and trying to get better just like RC.

The wife likes it better also, its only takes about 4 hours or so, and no week worth of parts buying and repairs and maintenance
I never realized how hard golf was, until my first every trip to the range. Using a 1 wood, I would only hit about 1 out of 10 balls in a path that resembled a straight line. Most were shanks to the left or right. Oh, and lots and lots of strike outs too :o:.
I golf. Looking for a new set of clubs. My titleist ones are just getting to old for me. I doubt I will go out again this year. I mainly golf down this way near the kankakee area.
I shoot around 90 on a par 72 course
I like to golf. I haven't gone this year with turning 16 and getting a job and everything.

I mainly go with family and it just ends up into making the person swinging the club laugh so they mess up. It's fun unless your trying to be serious and things aren't going your way.
tune, your prob was you started with the hardest club in the bag...

I use hybrid tour edge bazookas...
I golf. Its a lot of fun wacking the ball around. I cant use a driver tho. I can Tee off with a iron and get more distance then any driver I use. My best was getting on the green by the 3rd shot on a par 5 hole. I got a 6 shot because my putting game is non existant but put any iron in my hand and its all golden.
A 3wood is said to be the easiest to hit for new players. Infact, replacing the 3,4,5 irons in the bag with woods is what most new players do. Hitting the long irons is very hard. The extra loft on the clubs make it easier to hit off the tee and the ground.
I cant wait to hit my new iron/woods....
george wanna go out golfing sometime?
yeah we can hook up sometime...
cool. Wanna do it this fall or during summer?
with my schdule we will have to play it by ear....
cool. Ever have an urge to get out on the fairway give me a holla. Ive never done 18 holes tho so im up for anything so you know. As long as a golf cart is included im all gravvvvy
cool
No cow pasture pool for me. Though to succede inthe business world today I think you need to play.....
george and Dewey poundin their balls down the fairway together.....can somebody say odd couple Smile LOL

lol...

Yeah I golf... I mainly play at Woodruff golf course. Alot of trees, hills, water etc...
George, Tour Edge...supporting the local company! Excellent clubs!!! And great prices. Highly overlooked in today's marketplace where everyone wants to play what Tiger plays, like it's gonna help them.

I play. So do the sons. Ryan is a pretty good player for 13. I struggle to get on a course maybe 5-6 times a season but can hang in the 90's.

Hybrids are the chit. Forget the long irons unless you're a single digit handicapper, and even then, they help.

I too had been wondering about a Chitown Golf Outing, but never brought it up before because I saw how hard it is to get a simple bash pulled together.

Golf is a nice walk ruined, as they say. I always found it ironic that golf spelled backwards is "flog".

But despite the fact that the game hates me, I still love it and keep coming back for more. Maybe its because I am still hoping for lightning to strike again, and maybe I can get another Hole In One.
Yeah, Dave,
went to my local pro golf shop and explained my scenario of abilities or lack there of and they suggested the tour edge. I never realized they where here in Batavia. So the pro spent an hour watching me swing and measured me all up and 1 week later they where here.

I have yet to play with them but going to hit the range maybe tonight or tomorrow wiht them.
i used to play a lot of golf, but after my friend broke my arm i didnt play as much. its a lot of fun. a chitown rc golf outing would be pretty cool.
im still minature golfing
