Bearshare BLOWS, Kazaa is limited in it's search result, and torrent is ok. Limewire is the best so far just stay away from downloading .EXE files. As for spyware and adware, all the free versions have it, there is no way around it. Why do you think they are free? Just get a good blocker and your set.
Also with limewire there is no need for the pro version. I'm on a wireless connection with limewire and can do 5-7 minute songs in 30 seconds and complete DVD quality movies in 30 mintes using comcast high speed.

just cause it says its downloaded doesnt mean you installed it......look at the very bottem left corner...see those bars?? what color are they and what does it say rgiht next to them?
He said he can't find the files after he downloads them, so he probally has it downloaded, just has to install it.
