A cool video, for sure, but I don't get it (drifting an RC car). If I'm going to run a touring car, I want it to handle BETTER not WORSE, like it's on an icy pond. I have seen the real car drifting and I can see the attraction of that activity...lot's of tire smoke and noise. And it takes some driver skill and car setup to get it done right. The rc version just takes some hard tires and a smooth surface.

Neat to watch, but I'll keep my TC's gripping through the turns, thank you.
I watched it and was surprised at how well those guys drove. I think it would be fun, but for about 3 battery packs worth and thats it! By the way Mr. Tune & BigD don't you guys have drifters?
The fun behing drifting the rc cars is the challenge. Especially if you're trying to run on a track. Trying to run a good line and racing is one thing. Try doing that with the cars sideways the entire time. Very tough to do.

Yes john78, I have one. I turned the HPI Sprint into a drift car.
its decent. once again, u need a track or an objective or else its boring. we used to play tag and shit with the drift cars.
that was a neat vid. I saved that one Big Grin
Is drifting for me..... HELL no . Does it look cool as helll? YES!!!! I think it takes allllot more skill to hold an r/c car thats 20 ft away from you in a perfect drift, through that long sweeping turn than to just drive it through that turn with some grippy tires. I would think it would be easier to drift a car if your in it. Then you can feel what the car is doing. With rc you can only watch and react. Bad ass vid, camera angle rock
Check HPI's website, under their Stage D kit for the RS4. There is a good video of their drifting, with great audio of what the driver is doing on throttle management.
Those factory employees get to have all of the fun. I'm moving to CA and going to work in the RC industry!
Haha, I think that's actually kinda cool. The camera angles were probably the best I've seen for an R/C video.

I've only been able to run on ice once but man was it fun. The Revo loved powersliding on it.

Needs an objective does it? Heh, if only the cars had little timers that counted how long you drifted. Kinda like Project Gotham. Kudos points for style, hehe.

Here's a neat video I found the other day of an M3 drifting in the rain. Smile
