They are good, but not that good...they need to work on stopping them when needed, like at the end of this game, they let the Cards get into field goal range again and would have lost the game had they not missed the easy field goal.
23 points with 6 turn overs , is not alot of points.
slow revo is right. The defense only gave up 13 points due to those turnovers.
To only allow 23 total points, after 6 turnovers AND being on the field for 40 minutes shows just how good the defense is. They make plays when it matters, and those plays win games. Hell, it worked 11 times last year! It was bound to happen sooner or later this year.
I know the Defence is good, God knows the Bears only won the game because of them....but
You have to admit it was not cool to see the Cards first possession of the game, they came out and worked it all the way down the field and scored 7 as if the Bears were 0-5 :eek:
Overall, they were able to move the ball pretty good against the Bears in the begining of the game and I would have never guessed they were 1-4 coming into that game.
The Bears Defence did come through though, but what was up with the offence?
Did they stay out drinking the night before or what? LOL
At the end of the day 6-0 is the important part. It was ugly.... but a win is a win.

The Bears were blowing out the 49'ers. It was 82-0 late in the fourth quarter when a gunshot near the stadium confused the Bears and they left the field thinking the game had ended.
Three plays later the 49ers scored a touchdown.
All I can say is take that everyone who doubted Grossman after last week. Everyone was saying that he sucked and to pull him after one poor performance. He is a young QB and is making everyone eat their words. I love it. Go Bears!

I hope we lose now so that way our guys dont become stupid cocky idiots that just think there the best in the world. They need to lose to realize there not undefitable this year. Hopefully they can take a loss and then just move on from there and just plow through the play offs and hopefully win the super bowl.

Me too....the time will come.
They almost did loose to the Cards due to cockiness IMO...they opened up the game with a bomb pass on the first play and it flopped, then it was all down hill from there.
I think that game put some sense into them, to get serious and not show boat next time....which they did and kicked some 49er butt!
The next game should be easy too...but they are going to have their hands full the next three games after that while on the road.
They'll probably loose at least one of them for sure, but then they come home again
