Can anyone tell me how to set up the ESC in an rc18mt?
It's the standard XPS micro ESC #8023AE
Currently I have forward only...no brake and no reverse.

Thanks, ORC
Thanks man!
OK..I got it all to work but there is still an issue.

I'll try to describe this the best I can...
Forward and reverse are fine but there seems to be no space for neutral...it wants to be in one direction or another with a very slight dead spot for neutral. It will find neutral but it is such a small area like less than 1/16th of an inch of movement on the trigger. When you release from forward it almost jumps to reverse...way too touchy.

Anybody have any ideas??
What radio are you using?
AM 2ch....Futaba (pretty basic stocker style)
If you have the endpoint adjustments on the radio make sure the the Throttle ones are centered befor you try and set the esc other wise you will land up with the problems that you are haveing at times.

Thats what I was going to say but I don't think his radio has end points.

Obesessive is this the 18T I sold you? If it is the ESC should have been set up, it was working great with my XS3.
Ya it's the one I got from you...not sure why the trouble (probably the Tx) it has no endpoint adj. just basic trim. Steering won't stay centered either...trim it straight and a couple of seconds later its off to one side and needs to re-trim...
Just a thought but pull the plugs out of the RX and put them back, sometimes when I had issues like that the little metal plugs inside the they would back out a little and you wouldn't get a good connection. What kind of Transmitter is it again I know you said a futaba but what model?

The steering is a common problem. You can temporarily solve it by first sanding down the chassis some with a dremel where the servo saver is. Then get some shock o-rings from associated and stretch them over the servo saver, about 2 of them gets the job done.
HMMM, I had that problem at first with the steering but it pretty much fixed it self, I think. I was driving it around and then it started, but then I brought it in took the servo out and took the saver apart and then put a new saver on and it worked, I made sure it worked before I shipped it out. If it is acting up I'm sure we could work something out, I don't want to have sold you something that doesn't work.
I appreciate the offer...I will mess around with it a bit more and see if I can get it worked out. It's been sitting in a box since I got it, I just decided to get it going and haven't really got all the bugs out yet.
OK, well if you cant get it going I'll send you a new servo or the money for one. I don't want to be an @$$.
My XPS ESC wont even work right and I just took it out of the box
