You guys are too funny. Turn the thing on and blast it with some some air.....Geez.
hahahah......i just noticed this was supposed to be about painting, damn we are pretty good at getting off topic....lol
well i kno 130 psi works great lol back on topic ppl
right now I just use the leaf blower.....doesnt work that great....lol
this is all intersting....

Mike---I would think in the first post that it was not painted backwards.
I would think it is done on the inside curve of the wing---could go either way but I would have done it on the inside where it would be more protected.

As for the compressor.....
Why don't we have a COMPRESSOR ONLY thread---LMAO
What don't we read directions? Oh wait naaaa I won't go there...

I have the same lil 1 gallon compressor that Mike has---does the job and then some for me---cheap for $60

lol got the compressor for free, wasn't really worried about instructions....Rolleyes :p:
So, I go to LMF a body tonight and open the Dively bottle and AHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!

There's goldarn mold growing inside the bottle! It looked like a penicilin factory in there. Luckily it was just around the neck of the jar, and I was able to salvage the good stuff in the bottle.

so, anyone else have problems with mold in their LMF? I admit it's been a while since I painted a body, but damn! Mold?
Crap mine is nasty too!!!! I just pitched it (it's a small bottle anyway) and I'll pick another $7 one up sometime when I need one...
Maybe you are supposed to refrigerate after opening? It says "do not freeze".
No clue...I should go check for an expiration date lol
I have not had that happen but what I do is pour out into a cup what I need to use, Wrap it in plastic with the brush in between applications.
This way I do not keep opening up the uncontaminated bottle of LMF.

On another note...
I am totally stoked on my new IWATA HP-C brush I picked up.
Blows away my other one by far and uses paint very economicaly.
ya i had that crap happen to my LMF too
Thanks for the help guys, I filled the tank up almost completely and messed with that knob. I see now that it's just a kind of mess with it until it's where you want it thing.....I was actually looking for another needle on the PSI gauge or something. But yeah got it figured out, thanks.
as long as u had fun messing with ur nob Smile.....
Or striking out on 3 pitches either way.
u are so gay! god bring ur glove to the track with u tomorrow
Starting up a Mini-T body tonight. Hopefully it would be done Monday night.
checking my old stored away LMF now.....lol....it's prolly nasty up in there

Cool, thanks Dave. Hmm...Now what do I want to buy?
I have a set of those templates...there a little thinner than most, but for free they make a nice general set to toy around with.
The last couple of bodies I painted, I have noticed that when I try and peel the LMF off, it only comes off one layer at a time. I put two coats on and when I try to peel it off, only one will come at a time. Anyone else have a problem with this and what can I do to fix it?
My last body did this as well??? Poor bonding between layers, or really good bond of the first layer to the shell. I dunno?
I've never experienced that before....how long are you waiting betwwen coats of LMF??
A little over an hour unless I can see that some of it isn't dry yet.
