yeah I might be down.....gotta see if the old man will take me..lol
I was there a few months ago for a race. Not many showed up because it was rained out twice before. They had computer problems also. The track was somewhat rough when I was there. You pit outside and there are not many outlets to plug chargers and such into. So if you can bring your own power, would be a good idea. Many other racers did that.
It has a nice wide double in the back. Buggies can clear it if they get a good run at it but the landing is down hill into a turn so be ready to hit the brakes right after you land.
They do water, but they leave it up to the drivers during the meeting before racing starts. But they have a big race once a month, next one is in Oct.
And buggies were the biggest thing when I was there. I only had my Revo at the time so we had to run with the truggies(2Revos,3truggies) so I hope more show up! There were 3 mains for the buggies with 2 bumps as it says there at the site.
The track is hidden, built behind some homes but the hobby shop is in clear view. They do a different starting set up for the heats then LH does. Standing start in a line. He says your name, you go. As for the mains, that is normal. But I have my tent, chairs and table ready for it. Just hope to have the truggy and revo ready in time.
i think i'll try to go to.....man!!!
Pat also? Bean says he has to work, cant change days either.
he wants to but he's not sure if he can yet, tel bean to get a better JOB....LOL
Isn't this like 5 hours away?
nah....its 2 1/2 hours from plainfiled, so prolly about 3 hours from you
Just over 1.5 hours for me and I live north of kankakee. Right down I-57 to 74 west.
Joe T and Tune...you guys wanna car pool it if we all decide to go ????
Just remember to have plenty of room for chairs, tables, tent, and any other gear you plan to bring because you pit outside and electic plug-ins are very few.
hey casketman where u from i live in chebanse just south of kankakee
