Let's try for Wednesday, Sept 13th for us all to get the Inferno GT's (and Ofna Ultra GTP's for those who have them) out on the track. This gives a little time for everyone to have their cars ready.

Post up if you are ok with this date, or if you have another in mind.
im in!
ill have to go just to watch lol
ill ge there just to watch it
I wish I could.. No way I'd be able to make it there during the week. I work in buffalo Grove and don't get off until 7. sat would be the only day I could make it. I'd love to get out there with the GT though. It would be a blast!
I could probably make it there by 5pm, but if John cant make it, it wont be as fun....
I would honnestly rather go on Wed as it would be a ton less crowded. Mabey I can get off work early on that day. Take half day or something.
That's why I posted so early. Gives everyone a chance to work around it, or make sure the cars are running. Hopefully you and Eric can make it.
I'll go to check them out if you guys end up doing this

Lets do it! Smile
We also posted this on the Squid site. I know he has the 1/7th scale lightning. Hopefully there are a couple other 1/8 scales too.
1/7th scale baby!

You guys might be faster, but there won't be room to pass! :p:

Going to do my best to make it!

Brian
Like to get a class of them going. spec class can't change anything.
How much to the inferno gts go for? Where do they sell them?
On ebay, I see them around 250-315.00 used with some spares.
This one looks pretty cool. Seller from chicagoland area according to the listing. Item number 250022386694
I thinks they are 390 new.
Yup that sounds about right Bernie. Just looked at some hobby shops.
lh had it for $380
You guys know TTR has a 1/8 on road like these? I'll see if I can find any more info.

Edit-Looks like junk...2 wd, cheap looking.
If Bernie starts a "spec" class you'll be sorry you bought anything but an InfernoGT. In case you didn't know "spec" class means "stock, un-changed" except tires and radio gear usually.
That means you HAVE to run the stock motor/pipe as well. And it's only for the K-car

The point is to keep the class fun, cheap, and good close racing.
That'll work for me, I still have the stock motor and pipe. Bill's engine exploded on him right after break in.
he should send it in and get it replaced
i e-mailed them. waiting to see what they say
I'd have to rebuy 3/4 of my GT to go back to stock for any kind of spec class. Doesn't matter really because I can't get out there most of the time because of my work hours. I'd also sugest to allow brake upgrades on the GT. on hot days when I run mine hard the brake gets soo hot it discolors from heat and fades bad. it would be a bit dangerous to have these flying around a track with no brakes!
go slower!!!!! that's what it's about, staying within the cars limits......stock

Also, brakes are over rated Smile
