I like my 1/8 crimes, In just 1 turn I don't have enough steering, the 180 right after the downhill drop off in the middle of the track. It's not really the car, it's the speed into the turn and the dustyness of the turn.

I have been lovin the crimes mounted up narrow. but bowties are great too. I just end up running a qual with each and see what my better laps were

gotta brake early then roll into the turn, if you turn with the brakes on you will just keep sliding lol

08-15-2006, 10:06 PM
ur all wrong
its this
l__l_____l__l
but instead of mounting the tires in the glue channel u mounte them inside the bead. once thats glued you gotta use tape to push down the side wall untill its almost like the bead on a buggy

Thats pretty much the method i use...
Mike doesnt cut the wheel he just glues the bead to the inner side of the channel and the glues the sidewall to the outer most edge of the wheel...

Cool thanks thats the way I used to do it to my Revo and I think it worked good.
So really how good do you think these will work at LH, with the way the Boa's hook up its kind of hard I think to find something to replace them.
I know when I had my first 1/8th and used the inside jobs they worked ok but the switches just seemed to be so much better I would just hate to have the same thing happen with these ya know

did I miss something or is this not the "proline has done it again" thread?
I had no idea this was a strictly "tires talk" thread. lol
Speaking of bodies, I don't like bodies that look too big on RC's and that 3.3 revo CP looks too big IMO. I like how the standard size bodies look on stretched revos, it makes the truck look bigger.
speaking of tires, The Holeshot MT's look suhweet! As far as what tires I run, I like the old standard bowties, they settle my truck down so I can drive it better. The Crimes have no on power steering in tight corners and I hate that. With the boas I have to drive to carefull to hold my line. I guess I just stick with what works for me and that's the old school BT's.

I guess will all just have too dump another 80 bucks into yet another set of rubbers!
08-15-2006, 10:22 PM
I guess tire talk sticks closer to the thread than a new body....
... I think i see what your doing though....
