Today at the track I saw some guys running Boa's on buggy rims. It made the already narrow tires even narrower.

I was wondering, what are the advantages and disadvantages of doing this?
thats bobbo's idea lol well u will ghet more steering and it will be more responsive, but i think ur bump handling will get worse
Not only what Mike mentioned, but you will look funny too.Big Grin
czech already looks funny.
zing....
Alright, cool. Thanks for the info.

Do you think it's worth doing, or?
eh dont bother
Alright then. Thanks...
Bobbos tires were severly off balance Sunday. Truck looked as if it was going to explode going down the front strait.

I don't think those rims and tires helped him in any way. Also if I'm not mistaken those were MT rims, just cut down in width.

That's what I heard they were.
he mounted up some on buggy rims at the panther race, then sonny told everyone about it lol he was pretty pissed
Those tires looked cool.
Naw I was talking to him and he said they were on buggy rims...Mabye some copier put them on cut down rims but IDK lol who cares anyway.
Buggy rims have the same outer diameter as MT rims?? I thought MT rims were bigger in circumfrence. If I'm correct, how did he get Boas to fit on smaller diameter wheels?

Dut Da Duuuh...
I feel stupid....
they were monster truck rims, he mounted them inside the bead (on the center of the rim) and he cut the rim down.
well he mounted them on buggy rims at the panther race...
well howd they fit? what did he use to fill in the extra space?
maybe he cut a section out of the tire and reglue them that would reduce the diameter enough to fit good on a buggy wheel.
I'm not getting how that works?

The buggy rim is smaller than the MT tire, how do you add rubber?
you not adding rubber lol the buggy tire is smaller in inner and out diameter than a mt tire right? well then to get it to fit a buggy rim you could cut out a small section of the tire the whole way across then glue it back together without that section, there fore making the inner diameter small enough to fit on a buggy wheel.
maybe this will help

it fits perfectly, since the tires are so wide and u narrow them so much without cutting the rubber, it makes up for the extra height try it sometime they fit perfect, look like big buggy tires
oh, I getcha now... I see what you mean
