I live in oak park and I am looking for a place to both race and maybe buy a new rig, anyway is there some place local that is a sure bet?

check out the oak park hobby town they arnt really an rc hobby town but you may find a hidden gem stoed on a shelf. al's isnt too far from you either. after you get a ride post here and we can meet up at a lot and break it in or if your already done with break in we can hit some forest preserve or if you up for a hike down to leisure it is!
Oak Park HobbyTown is gone, they are no longer in business.
Al's is your closest quality hobby shop. Call ahead to make sure they have the parts you need. There is also Venture Hobbies in Wheeling, and Leisure Hours in Joliet.

Leisure Hours Hobby shop is worth the drive to go pick up a new kit. If your spending hundreds of dollars on an RC an 25-35 minute drive it well worth it.

Buy your stuff at Leisure Hours and at Al's. Go to both stores and introduce yourself and tell them guys here at chitownrc.com told you to stop in. Just so you know both places can get just about anything you want if it's not in their stores, in about two days, depending on when you call. Good thing is that both the big distributors of hobby stuff are within a 5 hour UPS truck drive away. Both places try to give you the best prices you can get.

They are making their track bigger next month....to 70 feet.....
