Who has the 14mm maxx sized maximizer beadlocks?

Over the winter, I bought a set of x-75's for my savage and a set of 5-holes for my revo. I've bought rage rings for both sets as well.

It seems at least one or two tires on each truck comes loose each weekend. It's very annoying considering how much the cost.

So far, I've tried HB deathgrips with and without rage rings. Without rage rings, all four came loose within one tank. In order to install them with rage rings, it took a lot of force and ended up damaging the rings. Now they are all warped. And they still didn't hold.

On my revo, I run imex swamp dawgs, medium compound. They don't come loose as bad as on my savage. I'm guessing the lighter weight of the truck has something to do with it. I also use rage rings. The seem to fit nice and tight and they go together like they are supposed to.

What tires do you use that don't come loose? What vehicle are they on? I'm tired of fiddling with them and I don't want to waste money on tires that won't work well.

I gave up on the HB tires and just glued them to a spare set of rims that I have. As for now, the x-75's are sitting on a shelf. I sent maximizer an email 3-4 days ago and didn't get any response, so I figured I'd try here to see what you have to say.

Any info would be appreciated.
I had them and had some problems with tires popping out. I think if you had the tires glued on a rim before, any leftover glue makes the tire slip easily. Out of the couple of sets of tires I used on those, stock Maxx tires worked well and so did komodo dragon LP's.

And are you taking these apart by hand each time? If you are hack off a bit of the hex key you're using and it'll make things go much faster.
Maximizer just came out with a new design of bead locks. Its got like little grips on them now that like clamp the tire down. Also a tip I got was to tap the holes before mounting the tire and you should have no problems. I have a feeling you got the original rims. The new ones sound like they work pretty flawless.
I use an allen wrench that I cut the end off and I stick it in a drill... taking them apart and putting them together doesn't take really long anymore.

I bought both sets used, so the holes were already tapped. On the x-75's, I re-tapped to 3mm instead of whatever they came with. Some small standard thread I think.

I'm trying to buy a set of maxx stock tires to give them a try. I have 3 in a box, but the 4'th was tore when I removed them from the rims... I was thinking the same thing about the glue residue being on the tires. Although, two of the tires on the revo weren't glued, they were new and they still come out just as often as the two that were glued before.

Thanks for the input though guys. I appreciate it. I just hate seeing $80 worth of rims go to waste on a shelf...
I'll sell you a set of maxx tires and rims that are just glued on like 4 spots per rim for $15 pick up or $20 shipped. One rim is stripped but that really doesn't matter since you've got beadlocks.
