Hi guys...Newbie here!
I'm trying to locate all of the flying fields in the Chicagoland area. The only two I know of so far is Palos Heights 107th aerosquadron on 107th and lagrange, and another one in kikapoo woods on 144th and Halsted. Are there any others that I should know about :confused:
Naperville - south of 75th street and Rickert Drive
Fox Valley Aero in St Charles
Off Irving Park on the northwest side of Chicago near the suburb of River Forest. If I'm not mistaken that is one of, or THE biggest in Chicagoland.
off irving park rd and cumberland there is a field run by a guy named mike. also there is a field off dundee just west of rand in a forest preserve. thoes are the only two I know of. if you check out simply rc off lawrence just east of cumberland youll run into guys that fly. I believe they rent out spots so their club can fly in fun places.
Palatine.... In the Forrest Preserve on Dundee west of Hicks Rd,,,,,,,
yep i just confirmed today, on dundee west of rand on the north side of the road there is a forest preserve with a designated rc air area.
There is one on 1st Avenue and Roosevelt. Right across the street from Loyola Medical Center.

Yep, I actually found it by mistake one day. I was driving down Shoe Factory Road one day and said... Hmm... that airplane is flying kinda low... And its REALLY not supposed to do that! Turns out, there was some kind of function going on that Saturday. Here is a link off Google satellite.
